marring with megs polishing pad!!!

TeamVegas, I have the same problem as you. I did everything I could to get rid of the mm. I didn' t have swirls or scratches but I had this graying effect on the paint, especially noticeable when you looked at the paint surface within inches of you nose. I was frustrated to say the least. I used my rotary and then my pc to knock down any swirls from the rotary. Looked great other than the mm. So, Mike from Mequiar's told me to bring it down and he would look at it, since nobody here or on a few other sites, could give a solution to my question. Mike looked at it and said that, the kind of paint that is used for my car, Infinity G35, that mm and or hazing was typical and that he thought the car looked great and he couldn't do a better job than me.

bcgreen: I think I have the same problem you had. So I should just deal with it? I am going to try and make a meguiars detail day as I think it would be an absoulte blast. When I come down I will let you know.

Thanks everyone.

Yeh, if you go to Mequiar's, I wonder if Mike will say that same thing about your paint as mine. Keep me posted.

bcgreen,

Sorry for the late answer. I didn't click on this thread for some time.

Regarding your question, I buy all my pads locally, but just because

1.) 1Z's Hungarian HQ is about five minutes from me, and I have a BIG discount there...

(they carry the Swiss Badertsche pad line)

2.) The Riwax guy brings the products to my house as needed

(usually in a biweekly cycle)

And thx for the :bigups for my English :D !!!

Mike,

I appreciate the offer. When is the next Meguiars detail day? Would I need to bring anything other than the vehicle? I am going to Bakersfield on the 28-29 of this month and might be going to Perris/Riverside the 14-15 of this month. If I can go a day early I might swing by. I would really like to attend a detail day as it looks awesome. Let me know.

Thanks Mike!!!!!!!
