Long time, no see--a few more Challengers

.. Actually, we use a lot more of M205 or original FPII than anything else lately. We are still perfecting our use of M205, but on *most* paints it works really well...

Oh no...not you too :D Seems like everybody's really happy with the M205. Anything to watch out for with it?

As far as LSP's go, I am still on a 476s/885 kick--just depending on which one I pick up. I do on occassion apply the 885, then the 476s on top(doesn't really make sense that way I guess, but I find that it lasts longer that way).

You really mean 885 or maybe *845* I like 476S over 845, think it was I who told you about how that can minimize product build-up along tape lines etc.

I have also been using a lot of the old UPP for some reason(I think it's v.3--smells like bubble gum). I had almost forgotten about it and then I stumbled upon my bottle--really nice product IMO. Heck, I even ordered the new "polycharged'version to see how it would do--and I told myslf that I was done buying LSP's. :D

Yeah, I'm trying to *not* buy new stuff too :D

My UPP is, IIRC, v2.0 and v3.0..I'm having trouble telling them apart but one is more blue and the other more beige (I think). One does last a bit longer. Let me know how the PolyCharged version works durability-wise.

I am still early in the game with M205(less than 20 cars), but it does seem to have difficulty finishing via PC, G110, or FLEX on softer paints. I typially either just switch to FPII or 3MUFSE, or grab a rotary. On *most* paints it is absolutely brilliant--the ease of use is amazing. I do recommend that anyone who tries it make sure to work the product until it goes 'clear" as this seems to provide the best finish and removal that is unbelievably easy.

Sorry, yep 845. It was you indeed, I still apply away from tape lines, PPF, etc based on your suggestion and it always helps me out--no more digging it out. :D

Will do on the UPP--my main complaint with LSP's lately is the "streaking" that I sometimes see as the polymers are still curing. I have just about eliminated this though via guess what--more prep. I find that for most sealants the paint just has to be free of all oils. I took for granted that even though I wiped away residue, there was still something there. Heck even IPA will not remove it all sometimes.....

The UPP that I have, when applied correctly (wisper thin) does not streak at all and seems to go for about 5 months around here--remove with M135 and it could easily go 6-7 months.

ebpcivicsi- Ah, thanks for the info on the M205. I oughta try that some day on the hard-clear vehicles.

Interesting about the UPP streaking. I apply mine over 1z Pro MP (the one that leaves synthetic stuff behind) and I don't seem to have any problems. When I applied it over *consumer* MP (which leaves all *sorts* of stuff behind), yeah..tht wasn't a happy combo.

My UPP sure doesn't last 5 months, but then I refresh it as soon as the slickness drops off.

Wow that car looks awesome with the OEM wheels painted that way. Great job!! American cars are sure making a comeback...and strong. I just hope its not too late.

I agree on the looks, but those cars are just way too big for me!

I should have qualified that staement--it will bead here for about five months(though it will change to sheeting on some paints), the slickness definitely diminishes with each subsequent wash. We are so conditioned to "freshening" up our weekly clients with OCW or 135 that it is rare for us to just leave a sealant alone--unless of course we are testing it. :D
