I have more pics of the SL500 from the last thread-only had 3 shots on the last roll, so here are the rest. Thought you might like to see it with the top up. ;)

1998 Toyota Supra. Only two pics for now, more on the new roll.



Pretty decent shape, the owner obviously takes excellent care of it. Optimum Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad on the hood and roof, then Klasse AIO with a Meguiars polishing pad, Jeff's Werkstatt Acrylic Jett by hand, and topped with Pinnacle Paste Glaz by hand.

Menzerna Full Molecular Jacket (aka FMJ) beading at 4 months....okay, about two days shy of 4 months actually. Still looked great and had decent slickness.

Rewaxed even though FMJ still seemed to be holding up. Just applied Collinite 845 Insulator Wax by hand. No good place to move it to catch good reflections on white but the second pic shows it better.

Just thought I'd toss this in. The power of Protect All's Quick and Easy Wash (QEW) on nasty road grime and dust. :)

2004 Chevy 1500. Owned by the 19-year-old son of one of my customers. Regency conversion, not a great paint job---excessive orange peel and tons of overspray in the rear fenderwells. Pretty stout truck. 5.3 liter V8 5 speed, chipped, headers, cold air intake, true dual exhaust with crossover and definitely geared low. The Dad was taking it out to test drive it last week with his mechanic (not sure what is wrong) and he was in 3rd gear in the parking lot. RPM-ed pretty quickly!



Grit all over the truck so it needed some pretty substantial claying. I followed with Optimum Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad and Clearkote's Carnauba Moose with a Meguiars finishing pad. Some of the pics are with flash, some weren't. There was a van behind it and since whatever was wrong hadn't been repaired yet, I decided to leave it where it was in the warehouse. BTW, yes, that is the 44' Newell Motor Coach I wax a couple times a year. :)

Scott, I have to tell you that you are lucky to get all these cars in ""pretty decent shape"".



People who call me sure don't take care of their cars. Except tomorrow I will work on a light blue Lexus suv that has only 15 miles on it, so I shouldn't be complaining. :D



I love the red truck. I saw something like that around here (look wise) from TEXAS.



BTW, the wheel looks pretty cheap for an expansive MB. The paint looks awesome!

:nixweiss It seems that people will really nasty cars don't want to wait a week for an appointment...and I don't really argue with them about it either. ;)

WOW, they all look amazing as usual. Love the GMC and Yota! Gotta love working on cars like those, it just makes it a little better.

No, I wiped the engine down but I didn't take any pictures. The owner keeps the engine clean enough to eat off of so it wouldn't be my work you'd see-other than knocking a very light layer of dust off it.



Sean-the truck is pretty nice, but it could stand some wetsanding on the bed to reduce the orange peel. It is for sale.....



Justin-yeah, I think AJ topped with Paste Glaz works out very nicely. Catching the setting sun reflected off the paint was nice too.... ;)
 
Beading on the FMJ looks really good after 4 months. I just got a sample through to try out. I'm going to use it on my wife's car and see how it survives the winter...
 
Fantastic details. You really have an eye for the camera too.



The last 2 shots of the Explorer are blinding! That's about as white as white paint can get.



Do you find yourself going through a lot of MF's using QEW? (and also wearing them/ratting them out) How do you clean the inner rims, tires, and wells? I like mixing QEW in my wash bucket during the winter for some added lube in the water, but doing a full waterless wash would require a lot of MF's. The new Optimum QEW is a winner, isn't it. I've been using it as a QD spray after washes and during polishing for wipe downs.
 
Great work as always Scott. I really appreciate the bit about FMJ. I'm expecting delivery of some today. Also, how long does it take to detail that motorcoach? It looks HUGE!

Haven't all of us this in this business done that?!?!?!?! It's not glamorous but damn it pays this bills.



Another round of superb details Scott!! :bow That Supra is pure hotness. Paste Glaz is one of my favorite carnaubas.
