I just got my Sonus SFX Kit a couple days ago. This will be my first time using a PC.
Products:
I plan on washing the car then claying w/ homemade lube (soap+water). Next, Using the green foam pad w/ the SFX-2 and polishing the whole car. Finally, applying the Meguiars #16 with the blue foam pad. Any suggestions/tips on my procedure?
The questions that I have are:
How do I go about about applying the wax on the pad? Do I take the wax out of the tin and just rub it into the pad then dab the car with the pad w/ wax? I'm confused on how to go about applying the paste wax on the vehicle.
What speed should the polisher be when applying the wax?
Should I wax the whole car then buff it out with the buffing bonnet or wax a small section at a time and buff with a microfiber towel?
I've also been reading a couple topics about people mentioning "loading" the pad. So the first time using the pad i'm going to apply the polish by making an "X" on the pad. Dab the pad on the panel. After the first two times applying the polish with the "X" shape the pad should be "loaded"? Does this mean after the first two times of applying the polish for the first two times I don't need to use that much polish after that? I only need to apply 3 dabs of polish on the pad and dab the pad on the vehicle/panel?
Thanks!
