Hit a deer tonight...

Well I guess I got hit by the deer since it ran into the side of the car. I got super lucky though, I was cruising N on I75 when my wife screamed DEER, hit the skids and the deer hit right in front of the front tire. All it did was tear the drivers side mirror off and put one small dent no bigger then a door ding in the back door. Shouldn't be a big deal to get either one fixed.

Had me worried for a bit. Deer are great to watch and good to eat, but they can definitely do some carnage when involved with a moving vehicle. Glad to hear that you and the wife are alright and that there was only minimal damage.

Glad you're O.K. My wife and I were in the back seat of a friends vehicle one evening about dusk. We were going out to eat and riding up a 2 lane canyon road. Probably traveling about 30 m.p.h., a deer jumped off of a side hill with about a 4 foot embankment and ran right into the side of the car. The same area you mentioned. It crinkled up the front fender of that Taurus pretty bad. The deer didn't even go down. He bounced off the car and bounded across the road and right over the top of a 6 ft. fence. Pretty amazing. It wouldn't buff out.
