Gleaming Kleen - Ferrari 360 CS

Wow Jay, the car looks absolutely stunning! Your attention to detail really shows in all aspects of the car.

One question: what process was used to clean/polish the muffler (not sure?) in the engine bay? It turned out really nice. Thanks!

one of ferrari's best! i'm always a sucker for the red valve covers. i love it. how does one care for the carbon fiber details? is it like caring for painted surfaces? are there protectants that are safe to use on the finish?
carbon fiber can be polished just like paint, just be careful as the lacquer is usually very thin. The CF in the 360 CS engine bay are prone to go "milky" from the heat and found the best product to stop this is Gtechniq..Every 12-15 months the process needs to be repeated.

I tend to protect any other CF found on a car with just a wax or sealant that I used on the paintwork. in the write up you can see I protected the interior CF with Swissvax Best of Show

Thanks Kody, I used a DA and different grades of foam pads and a metal polish to polish up the exhaust box in the engine bay.

Jay...It looks awesome...How many hours did you spend on it...I see blue tape wrapped around the DA spindle...Why do some detailers do this?

this had about 35 hours put into it... tape is just there to be a protective barrier when working around wing mirrors or other tight area's where there is the potential for that part of the DA to come in contact with something on the vehicle

Wow, you continue to raise the bar. Very inspirational work here, thanks for giving me a goal to reach for.
