I was in Target today, and I saw that Meguiar's is now making several different kinds of "wipes". They had Leather Wipes, Rich Leather Wipes, and Vinyl Protectant wipes. Does anyone have any thoughts on these products?

I've always used their Gold Class Wax and QD on my black 2K Max SE 5 Spd, and I've always been happy with their products. But the Vinyl Protectant Wipes scared me a little because it sounded too much like Armor All. :)

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Some people use Meguiars vinyl and leather stuff. If that is what you usually use and you like it, then I would see no problems in using cloths saturated with the same stuff. I believe people like Meguiars natural shine stuff, so if they have wipes with that injected into it, then it would probably be safe.

I've tried them. They were just a little too dry for me. I could see using a whole tube of those suckers on one car. I'll stick to the bottle. I think those were designed for the person without much time and just wanted the satisfaction of knowing that at least they were using Meguiar's instead of Armor All. In my experience the Meguiar's wipes work about as well as the Armor All ones but without being loaded with Armor All. Not to mention that based on how long they last they are about 3 times more expensive than just buying the bottle and spending a little more time. I think that if you care enough about your car to use the wipes then you probably care enough to make sure it is done right. The wipes are maybe good for that quick job in the driveway before you pick up your date but that is about it.
