Final Inspection gone bad?

I bought a bottle of #34 Final Inspection yesterday and forgot it in my car for about 24 hours.

Temperature was about -1 to -2 degrees celsius (about 28-30F) and the car was parked outside. I was just wondering if it's useless? It did'n freeze and it was completely liquid, but does it work normally after that, or should I throw it away?

might be a good question to email Meguiar's..I wouldn't throw it away. I'm sure it would work well for cleaning TV screens or even dusting.

It's also one of the better bottles as far as spray pattern, so I would also consider reusing the bottle

I'm sure it's fine. In my experience #34 is far more sensitive to heat than it is to cold. I keep a bottle of #34 in one of our vehicles for emergency QDing (bird bombs, etc.) and it holds up fine to being in the (sometimes very cold) car all winter.

When #34 goes bad it "clears out", looks thin, kinda-orange and transparent instead of kinda-thick, pink and opaque.

I don't know about how it would be, but the guys above do I'm sure.

However if you decide to keep a bottle in the car in freezing weather, make sure the bottle is NO more than 3/4 full to allow for expansion after/if it freezes. This will stop expansion from cracking the bottle and giving you a real surprise!

I've been in the habit of carrying QD and a few MFs, usually just grabbing whatever QD is handy. I'm just now coming to the conclusion that I'll start carrying QD made from ONR in a 4 oz spray bottle from FK1.

I look at it this way...first of all when you're QD'ing for bird bombs and other hazards your priority isn't shine, it's cleaning ability. ONR is good for that, along with 146, S&W, and I'm sure a couple of others. I like the idea of ONR because it does a good job but it's also economical and any QD you carry with you is exposed to a wide variation of temps so it's likely to not last as long. As for the 4 oz bottles, they're easier to tuck in than a full-size bottle and the FK1 bottles have a nice misting spray pattern. I'm still looking for the best container to carry my kit. Hmmm, perhaps something like a shaving kit would do. I'll just keep my eye open at the store and I'm sure I'll find something.

velobard- I generally match the QD to the LSP on the vehicle. I've been thinking about adding a little ONR or something to them to improve the cleaning ability and (presumably) also the lubricity/encapsulation ability.

I have a bunch of small spray bottles I got from Griot's back in the day (probably the most expensive little bottles in history :o ). Between bird-bomb kits, window cleaning kits, and the oh-[shootf]-I-hit-a-deer kits, this stuff gets involved :D

That's a good idea, adding ONR to another QD. I might have to give that a shot, wish I'd thought of it. ;) Wonder if it's compatible with 425?

Velobard- Yeah, that's the combo (ONR/FK425) I was thinking about too...heh heh, you first...you can tell me how well/not it works :D
