Edge yellow medium cutting pad...

bought one of these from a semi-local shop and after getting it out of the plastic bag I found it more aggressive than I expected. Is this pad too aggressive for a rotary? Even with a mild polish?

I use it all the time. I even go more arresive at times with the Black wool pads.

Well it is a cutting pad.. but it's not over done.. I need to get the green pad to round out the collection of pads..

I was debating between the yellow and green- next month when I'm by that store I'll get a green one

Yellow's are pretty strong, you should feel the black foam, that's gritty

Not at all, I use it with my rotary from time to time although I follow OROSCO's advice - try a polishing pad first (edge green or a 3M black)

Seems to do the job just fine most times

SFX 2 and edge green are a swirl killing combo on most paints

Good info SVR, I've got a green edge on order and some ssr2.5, hoping that combo does the trick for me. Anyone use a green pad with 2.5 on one side and flip it and use ssr 1 on the other side? Just wondering if the green is too agressive with ssr1.

I would use Blue with SSR1
