DuraGloss AquaWax vs. OCW

I would choose AW over OCW any day. I (personally) think OCW works optimally with carnauba waxes and AW with syn. OCW left me impressed for a while, but AW is a whole nuther ballgame.

The AW durability is quite good, and I am much more confident in its protection, as compared to OCW.

Where can I find Duragloss locally in New Hampshire. I have tried calling the retailers listed on their site with no luck.

Thanks,

Steve

I just tried calling a few places in MA with no luck as well. Looks like we might have to order it on-line but at least shipping is only $4.95.

do you have a local carquest store?

No we have stores that carry carquest parts, but no duragloss. Napa was the cloest I came. They carry duragloss, but no aquawax I was told on the phone.

I ended up purchasing some directly from Duragloss.com. Shipping was only $4.95. I tried all the Napas, Carquests, and Parts Plus's in my area.

Thanks for all the feedback on the AquaWax guys. :hifive: I bought two bottles straight from DuraGloss (ended up being like $19 shipped). I might eventually order some OCW, but for now I cant wait till the AW comes in.

A gallon of Aquawax is 30.00 Shipped....not bad...I have used OCW..not a bad product..but AW blows it away in looks and longevity....

I've got some AW coming in the mail. So far OCW provides the best look on my silver scion. I actually just washed/applied it yesterday, but some birds decided to dive bomb it today. If my order gets here soon I'll have to apply some AW.

How does FX spray wax compare to AW? TIA

I am also interested in this question. Durability is not exactly at the top of my list (garage at night, covered parking during the day, weekly wash, etc). Because of the favorable circumstances, I tend to push overall looks and ease of use higher than durability. FX spray wax currently meets both these requirements. The price of AW and FXSW are a practically even - anyone with comparisons?

Same thing for me. Picked up two bottles to try out. Can't wait to give it a go. :bigups

You guys are going to love it! Hard to believe something so easy and inexpensive can produce such outstanding results. :xyxthumbs

I applied AW to my Grand Caravan ( White ) this weekend after a thorough cleaning.

Bug Squash on the front / Duragloss Wash/Long Haul Polish and Wax/AW.

I let the BG sit for a cpl minutes, Did the wash, went over the entire vehicle with LH with the PC/Meguars Yelow polish pad on a speed of 4 and did the windows as well. Bufffed on very easily.

Then I hand applied AW on the paint. Again buffed off super easy and left a nice slick surface and gloss.

Looks pretty wet and feels very slick. Wife was happy with it. It hadn't scene a detail/clean up since last fall. IW did a nice job over the winter.

I was impressed with the all the products I used this weekend.

First time with the Long Haul and AW. I like both so far.

So last night I cleaned up the Honda SI ( black ).

I had a ton of bug kills, so out came the BG. Then I washed with Duragloss Wash.

1 cap full per gallon. Lotsa Suds. nice smell.

Worked pretty well, sheeted off fairly well. Still had a few water spots, but SG took care of the water spots.

Then I hand applied AW once the car was dry, over a 4 week old detail of #80/#16.

AW did a great job. I was very happy with my results.

Next I hit the windows with NXT Glass cleaner, another nice product.

The paint looked Deep and Wet.

I plan to head to my local CarQuest next week and order a gallon of AW.

Enjoy !
