Price independent, which of these two spray waxes would you choose?



I am interested primarily in shine/gloss, but would be willing to give some serious points to whichever has some durability. (I remember OCW being claimed to last upwards of a month when everyone was extolling its virtues, as they are now the AW)



Any advice would be great for the order I plan to place tommorrow. :bigups

I have not used AW, but I have a sampled OCW and it really impressed me with it's durability. I found it works best on a freshly prepared surface in regards to application. I got some streaking issues on a surfaced that needed claying. Other than that I am going on 6 weeks and it still holding up well on a car that is outside 24/7 and we have had about 20" of rain and pollen last month. Shine and depth are outstanding.



The only negative is the overnight wait for maximum shine.

I bought a gallon of OCW a few months ago and have used about 1 & 1/2 quarts so far. This weekend I tried Duragloss AW and was really impressed with the gloss. I used it on my two vehicles, one applied dry and the other applied while drying after a wash. The results seemed identical on the two vehicles. The Duragloss was applied over Natty's Blue on both vehicles. While I love OCW, if I was purchasing today it would be a gallon of Duragloss AW.

Very interested in this aspect as well. This came up a little late for me as I had just ordered some Pinnable Crystal Mist as a after wash companion to the car that I will be using a carnauba topper. I also included OCW to try as well in the same order to combine on shipping.



On a side note, I probably will be topping with PW and understand that FX-100 works pretty well over PW. However, more products options to try isn't a bad thing right? :bigups

I have used both products...OCW and AW...both are nice products...I found that OCW would diminish after a couple weeks in New England weather..rain and such..and after a few washings....I have used it over a sealant and also over a wax...I never had issues putting it on..was simple to use...





Aquawaxis easy to apply..used it on a sealant and a wax also...the sealant was on my girlfriends car through out the winter...used 3-4 times after a wash at the wand wash...I would dry and apply..I have never used it on a wet surface yet..just dry...



My truck has Klasse twins and collinite #915 on it now...I applied AW in the end of April or first week of May...over the collinite...so say 4 weeks...



the results were very nice...slick ..gloss...and beaded nice

now truck still has the klasse on it and collinite from November ..with 1 coat of AW ...plus it went through 8 days of rain we had...



Again..I like both products..but to me the AW seems to hold up better for me..and a better look for me also...



For 7-8 dollars you make the decision...not much to lose...

I am not a big fan of spraying wax or QD on wet surface's..I like to apply dry..thats just me...I think you get better product distribution going dry method and maybe a better bonding ..Who knows...



Thats my opinion of the product...It works for me so I will continue to use it

I have only used OCW and love how easy it is to use. Very sun friendly, which is a must for me.



However, FX100 wins in my opinion for looks. BUT, it isn't as easy to use. Needs shade and time to haze. I put a coat of FX100 on the other day on my car and received more compliments than with any other wax. :confused:



I have to try AW as well.
 
I think I asked this in another thread, but would spraying AW over my Natty's Blue do anything, since I see people topping Collinite and other with it?

Someone posted a pic of AW over Natty's Blue on a gold Nissan Quest van I believe, it looked outstanding.
