Just found this stuff at a local Car Quest autoparts decided to pick it up, $4.25 (if I remember corectly) for 16 oz-not bad. The smell is so-so, I cant put my finger on it, I said cherry cough syrup, my two friends said Kool-Aid, I mixed it up acording to the directions and it formed a color similar to Toyota spec antifreeze, pinkish red. Suds were very abundant, and the lubricity was excelant, as was the cleaning power, left a good gloss that complemented my NXT nicely. All in all I think its my new favorite, beating out Meg's Gold Class, #00 (good, but to pricey for regular use) and NXT, i still want to try #62 though.

Very good wash and highly recomended! :2thumbs:

Edit: I want to add, I think the mixing directions may be to strong, hovever we have reletivly soft water, so your milage may very

You almost want to drink it.

Its the best shampoo I have tried so far. Its more concentrated and slicker than Z7 and leaves a great shine :secret I guess I'll hold on to my Z7 for emergencies.

Ditto!

And it is more concentrated than others. I have a one gallion container, and I have had it for more than 6months. I do about 20-25 cars a month and I am yet to get down to the halfway point.

Yep, the 901 CWC is the only wash I use now, and it replaces my previous favorite, Z7. Quite honestly, they both perform identically, but the DG is found locally at very good prices. Win/win situation!

My 2 favorite washes are DG 901 and Griot's..but I find myself useing the DG more than the Griot's...it seems slicker on the paint...great lubricity..and also leaves a nicer finish...

Groit's is no slouch...very nice shampoo..but the DG has the edge on it...feels better during a wash.. very slick and leaves a nicer clean finish..and cheaper...18.00 compared to 40.00

I have a ton of shampoos...lol...wal mart was blowing out NXT last year at a 1.00 a jug so I bought 4 of them...I have Meg's GC from Costco...TW platinum from Big Lots...PB's super slick from a trade...EO wash...Kit...after usng them all..I found DG 901 is the better of them all...

Now when the school or Boy Scouts have a car wash I donate some shampoo...it is better for them to use something decent than useing Dawn as they usally do...

I will keep the DG as my #1 wash...and keep Groit's also...I use the Groit's in the foam gun for a quick wash and the DG for the beauty wash...

How do you get DG wash for $18/gal? It's 23.85 on the website, or do you get it locally for that price (I can't get it locally)? Also the Griot's dilution is .5 oz/gal vs. DG at 1 oz/gal, so going by the list price the Griot's is slightly cheaper (not counting that DG shipping is much less which might even things out).

Yup, DG 901 is a great wash. I only use about an ounce and a half in my foam gun, and with the dilution set to the highest soap mixture, I am able to do my SUV + a small car. Good stuff.

the parts store near me...it is a Federrated Auto parts store....they sell the shampoo 18.00 and some change.....they do not carry much of the other DG products..but they say the shampoo is a big seller so they can discount it....they carry the wheel cleaner...the 111 sealant...the foam carpet shampoo..but thier prices on them are same as DSG site..the shampoo is the best bargain there...they claim it moves faster...

also...I use 1/2oz of the DG per gallon..and seems to work as good...stuff is pretty concentrated....I have diluted a few products and find they work as good...they really concentrate a few products....better for me...

Mike..Setec...

I have diluted AW 50/50..since the product was designed to use on wet cars also...so being that I said I will dilute it and see results....it did not change...works as good...but come winter I will use it full strength..just for piece of mind..lol...

in the winter I mix 1 oz of 901 and 30oz water in a spray bottle..go to the wand wash..spray truck down with the bottle mix..let it set a few ..then use wand wash with rinse only water and rinse truck down...truck comes outt great....no harsh detergents used...then I use Aw or FC&S to wipe it down ..FC&S if there is any road grime left after the wash....

Great tip fort he winter AL!!!

Question for all: I have been following the instructions and they say 3 capfull (1 ounce) per gallon - I have been doing that but that eats up alot as I need 6 capfull for 3 gallons. I guess you guys are saying I would only need half that? Thanks.

ashsarna....

Here is what I do....I use a 1 1/4oz shot to 2- 2 1/2 gallons..I use the little cup on the cold medicine bottles..lol...measure 1 1/4 oz..add to water....give a squirt to stir it up and works great...

I do not use more then 2-2 1/2 gallons for a wash. I use 4-5 wool mitts ..1 for each quarter of the truck ..stuff is pretty concentrated also...

if you used 1 oz per gallon it would be like washing with oil...lol...stuff is so slick...
