Does wax make water harder to dry

I've always wondering this. In the morning after it has rained at night, alot of the cars on my block seem pretty dry on the surface.



On my car, it's still very damm wet. Never seen this thread before but does wax on the car make the water less *suspectiable* to drying.



Or is it the fact that the water beads up versus non waxed cars wheras it doesnt so more suface area for water to evaporate on non waxed cars.



I even noticed this on dewey wet mornings.

I believe this is the correct answer. Imagine a gallon of water. What would dry quicker, the entire gallon as one huge water bead or the gallon spread out evenly over a large area?
