Hi Guys,

Im new to the forum and new to detailing (well to this extent anyway)

Here's my 1st serious attempt on my 2002 E46 M3 with 35K miles on the clock.

Products used with PC.

Poorboys SSR 2.5 (Sonus orange pad)

Klasse AIO (sonus blue pad)

Klasse SG (By hand)

Zymol carbon wax (to follow)

Im going to build up the layers of SG (around 3 or 4) and then im going to top it off with some Zymol carnbon wax.

I can't believe you have a finish like that after jumping from SSR2.5 with a cutting pad straight down to AIO with a finishing pad. It looks absolutely stunning, carbon black is one of my favorite BMW colors.

In the future, you may be able to add more depth by following SSR2.5 with SSR2 and a green polishing pad.

First attempt? I'd say you did a hell of a job. Do you have any before pictures?

Unfortunatley, I was so keen on getting started on the detailng that I forgot to take some 'before' pics :(

I thought that myself. I had no SSR1 to step down to after using SSR2.5 I only had some Autoglym SRP incase of emergencies. Luckily it seemed ok with no hazing. Maybe I got lucky!

Just a beautiful job. Like Jason, this is my favourite BMW colour. I am in the process of getting a new 330i M Sport now...either Black Sapphire Metallic or Titanium Metallic for me...I wish the Black Carbon was available outside the M3...but I guess that is what keeps the colour exclusive.

Great detail...impressive!
