Cloudy spot on the paint of my new truck

I don't know if it came like that from the dealer or NXT caused it, but I noticed it after I applied NXT. There is another spot that is cloudy too. I tryed buffing it with rubbing compound and the cloudy spot is still there. I don't want to have to do a repaint on my new truck.

I wouldn't flip out yet. Repaint is probably not necessary at all. But idk about just throwing some rubbing compound on there.. maybe too aggressive.. could leave a cloudy haze all on its own. Wait for a second opinion from someone with more knowledge than me.

Definitely wouldn't use just some rubbing compound. That stuff is aggressive and probably could have made your situation even worse. I can't really tell the cloudy spot but it's probably something you can buff out with a PC and some polish.

There's a difference between what's on the paint and what's in it which will determine the required action.

I can't really tell from the pic but look at the patch in question and determine it's overall shape. If the shape is akin to the way you applied and worked the product then you can probaly get it out.

On the other had, if it looks like something totally different than what you were doing then it's a condition with the paint. I'd take it back to the dealership and have them look at it. As one who re-finishes cars I can tell you there are alot of defects that can occur.
