Cleaning Aluminum Panels

I have a 63 Cobra that has an aluminum interior. From time to time the aluminum just needs to be cleaned (dirt/dust). Sometimes a quick cleaning at a car show.



Any recommendation with regards to a "cleaner" to use to aluminum panels?

There are lots of aluminum polishes out there. Look for Mothers, Eagle One, Flitz, Wenol, P21S, Happich Simichrome.



Also do a search online for aluminum polish. There's one called Tank Doctor or something and another called Speedy. Both might be too harsh but worth looking into.

If it just needs to be cleaned, I think plain soap and water should do. A non-ammonia based glass cleaner (no Windex) like EO 20/20 will shine it up pretty good if there are greasy smudges. All the other cleaners will be polishes of some sort, or etching type cleaners like wheel cleaners.
