Cat Issues!!!

I don't mean to get off topic here but de-clawing a cat is pretty cruel itself. If you don't want an animal ripping up your furniture then maybe you shouldn't own a pet. Seriously. Cats have claws for a reason, it's wrong for you to mutilate an animal like that for selfish purposes.

I've tried the ultrasonic motion activated animal deterrent devices and they don't work. Tried various setups around my car. I even went to my mom's house and chased her cats around the house with one. I activated it right in their faces and they didn't even flinch. Actually they just sniffed it.

If you want a solution, then find out your local laws and take action. Otherwise you'll waste money and time on products or oddball remedies that don't work. I've been though this and that's the best advice i can give aside from protecting it in a garage.

On our news last night they tested SSSCAT.

Looks like a can of spray paint but its water I think.

You set it down on a counter, car hood ect and if a cat gets within three feet of it it sprays and has a loud sound.

Looks like it would solve my problem of keeping my cat off my car without hurting him.

I e mailed the co. and asked if the spray was water and is it safe for a cars finish.

If it is safe for the cat and the car going to go to Pet Smart and get one, will post the results here.

Positive Works, Inc. : SSSCat

or

SSSCAT! Automated Cat Repeller : The Pampered Pet Mart

Hope it works because would like to keep him off the car but will not hurt him to do it.

Got one, works, harmless to the paint and cat.

Works great.

Tried to attach a photo but can't seem to.

I wish I knew about this when I ordered my Scat Mat last week. The spray is cheaper, and with the mat I have to make sure my hood is clean before putting it on. Also if you're using the mat outside, magnets are needed to keep the wind from blowing it off.

I didn't know they let you release R134a into the atmosphere like this.

Ive always had a cat and it amazes me how stupid and imature some people are. I personally believe many people are pointless and their mothers are stupid for feeding them. :chuckle:

I would harm a human if they in any way hurt my cat.. :up

just get one of those ultrasonic animal repelling devices. non-lethal, effective, and readily available. it might make the neighbors' dogs crazy (don't know if you live in apartment, house, condo...) though.

.

how about you cat owners pay buy those products for us? It seems like cat owners are so quick to suggest a car cover, chemicals, or other wonder products as an excuse for your cats crappy behaviour. I'm expected to put orange peels on my car, moth balls, chili powders, mats, sprays, automatic cat sensing water hoses cause you cant keep your stupid pet off my car? You know if my 90lbs dog took a crap in your yard, youd flip.

I'm still having cat problems and its driving me crazy. Ive contacted animal control multiple times with no luck. I may try that SSSCAT product, but it pisses me off that I have to spend $30 on a product to keep someone elses pet off my stuff.

oh and, BUMP!

I am a member of the e90post forum and someone over there said that someone over here developed a method to keep cats off the car. Anyone that can help would be appreciated.

Thank you
