Finally had a chance to do paint correction on my customersvette while it was over at Hunters Performance shop. He had wanted me to get this done early last month. Well finally everything was done with it and I was able to get it done before the F-Body gathering this weekend. Would have loved to get some outside daytime shots of this car but the storms rolled through this afternoon before I could finish.

Anyways, the paint was in pretty good condition. Some minor scratches/swirls that were only really noticeable under my LED light, as the sun over powered them. So just did a 2-Step Buff Package on it.

Wash w/ CG Citrous Wash

Menzerna SIP via Dewalt 849 w/ Uber Med. Polish Pad

Menzerna Super Finish via Dewalt 849 w/ Uber Green Pad

LSP w/ XXX Hardcore Wax

Once washed, dried off and inside. Able to see it under my light.

Finally after a long day of buffing, took me about 8 hours of just straight buffing, then another hour and a half of cleaning it up and waxing it. Car looks extremely glossly, which is due to lighting and the fact that my final step of buffing, I worked more toward finishing down the paint while leaving a HIGH gloss look.

Kind of sneak peak of a Ford GT I worked on yesterday. Customer wanted more, but unfortunately I did not have the availability to do all of it yesterday. So will be going back next week to do full paint correction on it. Car had not been done in quite some time and had holograms on it from the previous owners “detailer.” So just did a wash, wax, interior and engine detail on it for the time being till I get out there next week.

A buddy of mine needed to get one of his flip cars done. Was a cheap and fast job. Since he is a very good buddy of mine, I wanted to get as much correction as possible in a 2-step, as fast as possible. Car came out real well for a Bimmer that has never been taken care of.

Process:

Wash w/ CG Citrous Wash

SIP via Dewalt w/ LC Orange Pad

Now for some test areas. Flat portions of the paint had some pretty nasty water etching, which would have required some major wet sanding. Wet sanding which was not going to be included in the cheap fast price.

Well after 7 hours in the whole detail...like I said fast and cheap. Interior just got wiped down with Green Clean 5:1 and vacuumed. Windows hit with Stoners.

After putting some Blackfire on the paint and pulling it out into the sun...

Nice work on all of them, especially given the time constraints. Definitely interested in seeing the GT when you get to polish out the other detailer's crap work.
