Topcoat Sanding With BUFLEX (for maintaing maximum Orange Peel)

Sanding with waterproof abrasive paper produces a leveling effect that eliminates the Orange Peel texture which is acceptable in most cases. For matching most OEM paint, however, it is more desirable to preserve the texture. Due to its extreme fexibility, Buflex system can polish both the inside valleys and peaks of Orange Peel without eliminating it. The shallow scratch pattern will also prevent over-sanding in situations where thickness of top coat is a concern.

Anyone ever hear of or try this stuff?

I’ve played with it a little. Looks like it could be a really useful product for removing moderately deep cobweb scratches or sanding scratch from coarser abrasives.

I haven’t spent enough time with it to have a good feel for how easy it is to buff out but what little I saw was promising.

PC.

looks interesting. I have been using the mirka sanding reusable disks with the cusion velcro backing on the pc lately. So far they are great. Also they are the SIA abrasives ones too that are top quality.

These do look interesting though.

Amazon carries a full line of Eagle abrasives and Buflex pads in 6 inch and other sizes. Has anyone used your PC to do wet sanding?
