Hey everyone, off for the holidays so time to post up the recent details. Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend!

I'll start with my new car. I traded in the G35, it was sad to see it go but that's life. I am sure some dealer is swirling it up as we speak. (I should mention that I bought it was 44k, gave it back with 115k and it was rock solid, great car). Luckily, I had the prep of my new car to keep it off my mind. My sales guy was good enough to do no ext/interior preparation to the car, all the shipping tape was still on it, no bumper holes, good times.

All exterior tape off:

Why you clay a new car!

It's miserable out, so hopefully I'll be able to get some outside shots sometime this week, maybe after tint.

More cars coming up!

e92 328i, softest factory paint I've ever dealt with. Weird too, because all the other e92's I've done (Monaco blue, 2x Alpine white, 2x sparkling graphite, 1x space grey have all been completely normal. )

The car had some marring from the dealership, I guess luckily since it was so soft 106ff on a black pad @800 took it out, and was the only way I could finish down without marring. :/

Topped with Z5pro.

e90 328i, black sapphire (normal hardness):

Wash, clay, Prime Strong, Z5pro.

Monaco Blue e92 335i. This, straight from the dealership with all the tape, yay.

Wash, clay, light FPII on some spots, Prime Strong/AJT.

STUNNING!! How do you get a hold of all of the beautiful BMW's?

Greg

Since I bought mine in Sept I've spent a lot of time at e90post in the detailing section; I guess guys see me talking about detailing, see my location, and give me a call. I find that the cars I get always come in runs of like 5-10, like I'll get 5 G35s in a row, then 5 NSX's, then 5 BMWs or something. Mostly from guys posting on forums and stuff.

Thanks guys. :)

Stunning work!

Your photograhy skills are almost as good as your detailing ones!!!

Thanks for the time to post. I know how long it takes.

I'll bet no ones ever been banned from this site before.......guess the guy above gets to be first huh?

EDIT: last post, first page.....

Wow! Great work on all 4! How do you like the new car? (Its Sparkling Graphite, correct?) I am thinking about buying a 328xi Coupe in S.G, but I heard it looks almost purple under sunlight.

What pads did you use? Also, do you have any pics of the blue ones you've detailed?

Thanks and Congrats!

Heya. One of those ones in thise post is Monaco blue, I didn't take pics of the other; unfortunately with the Canadian weather being what it is in December I don't get to take many outside. I've been using white pads for prime and FPII/106FF and black to seal, except on the jet black 328i which was black for everything (too soft to do anything else).

Sparkling Graphite can have a purplish hue in just the right light. I saw it once in person, but it takes a really certain angle/light to see it. It doesn't bother me, I like the color enough not to mind. My second choice would have been Alpine White; I hate white cars generally but I think the e92 looks good in white.

How do I like it? Well...I love it. I spent 18 days and 3000km driving in in Europe when we picked it up and it was everything I'd hoped. :)

Absolutely stunning Picus, nice work. My order goes in in January. I can't wait. Good to know how soft the paint is. From your post title I thought you had pics of a new BMW X4 model! :rofl

:xyxthumbs

Which color? Everything but jet black seems ok for paint hardness, a lot like Hondas, soft but not too soft, finishes down nicely. It's just the damned black e92's that seem to be miserably soft.
