Blackfire Diamond Maybe??

So this weekend I took my car to a show at Knott's Berry Farm. I saw this guy's Tungsten Mustang and MAN did it look sharp!

I asked him what he used on it and he said he worked at a dealership and used the stuff they used on Aston Martins.

He said he wasn't sure what it was called... "diamond something."

But he did say that he didn't buff the car or anything, just used this stuff.

Man the car was so shiny and the flake just POPPED like crazy.

Honestly it made my car look dull in comparison.

I've been using Z5 pro on my car and it looks super slick. But the color just seemed muted compared to this guy's car. And the flake seemed muted as well.

I know this is crypitc, but I did some research here and found the Blackfire Diamond and thought it might be what he used.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks :)

well the only thing I've done with my PC on my new Mustang is the hood and roof... that was the only place there was any visible marring. So I would say yes it is as perfect as I can make it.

But aside from that this guy said he hadn't had his car buffed at all so I don't know if that's a factor.

could it have been Diamondite? I don't know if just putting the diamond from BF would cause that. It might but I always put other products from BF before diamond and it looks great.

I believe Simonize makes a Diamond Product also..might be called Liquid Diamond....Simonize makes a lot of commercial stuff for Dealership prep also

Hmm maybe that was it.

Has anyone used either of those Liquid Diamond or Blackfire Diamond next to Zaino?

I'm wondering if maybe I should try Z2 pro instead of Z5 pro.

Thoughts?

I have not, but I have tried FMJ next to it. Zaino longevity is much better, but I preferred the look of the FMJ especially on Silver or Black.

I have used both and to me its two different finishes. BF produces more of a wet finish than zaino. Zaino is more of a bright shine. I use zaino on vehicles with flake or silver vehicles now. BF or PS or others on darker colors. Zaino lasted longer also.

I've got a dark gray metallic car.

I've been using Z5 pro on it because it was darker.

But do you guys think Z2 pro would be better, or should I go for FMJ or Blackfire Diamond... or should I just forget about the Blackfire and get FMJ?

I would say to try the Blackfire or FMJ and give it a shot...You have been using the Zaino and it looks good, but if you saw something that might be a little different, try it out. You will be happy.

Thanks Josh I'll do it :)

I guess I should just wash, clay and then do a quick light polish with Menzerna FPII to get the Zaino off. Sound about right?

Which lasts longer Blackfire or FMJ?

if you haven't polished your car, then try that and see if you cant better your results...off the lot, there is a lot to be done to the paint to bring out its best shine IMO

That is absolutely the nicest looking stang I've seen. I love those wheels and the color compliments that car nicely. I don't want to hijack the thread but am impressed with that vehicle (sorry, gang, for the brief diversion).
