Best protectant/cleaner for polished wheels?

What do you guys recommend? Never detailed a car with with polished wheel in all the years I've done and I finally bought some myself, what's safe other than your typical car soap and what will be a nice polish to bring the shine out? I got a huge BMW E30 picnic comingup soon and would like to pick something up before hand so I can use while I do a full detail as well.

Are the wheels clearcoated or no?

If they're clearcoated I would say any wax/sealant would work just fine. As anything else, Carnuba probably won't last as long as a polymer sealant but to each his own.

If they aren't clearcoated then something like Mothers metal polish is nice... I also use Eagle Nano metal polish on my exhaust tips... they are polished stainless and it makes them beautiful and lasts for a good two or three months on my exhuast so it would probably last even longer on wheels.

I use Rejex on mine and it helps witht he break dust.

Is that polish or chrome? Looks like chrome from the picture.

My wheels are non-clearcoated polish lip. I'll Opti-Seal the center piece cause it's brushed aluminum. But the polish lip I'll probably just use some OTC metal polish.
