I’m looking for an easy to use polish that is good at hiding swirls and

then topping with #16. I think my clear coat may be getting thin so

I am looking just to cover and hide them.

Thanks…….BMG

If you are honestly worried about your clearcoat getting thin then buy a paint thickness gauge, I think they are like $100 but imho it would be worth it if you are running the risk.

I'm in the same boat with two of my vehicles, and given my, uhm, issues with marring ;)those glazes and a heavy wax like #16 or Collinite are a good way to go. As best I can tell, you can sorta "layer" or build up the #5 a little bit as it dries more completely than the others, but maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see :o

I'm in the same boat, my Honda paint mars and swirls so fast I would need to polish it out every month to keep it swirlfree. I'd rather just fill and hide it going with a non-abrasive, cleaner; than to use abrasives. I recently used Poorboy's Polish w/ Carnauba underneith P21s and it did a pretty good job of hiding a majority of the swirls, even though there was a little micromarring I can live with it. I also ordered some Blue PwC which is made for darker colors so i'm hoping that will fill a little better, although I was quite impressed with the original PwC.

I would most likely reach for the Megs range of pure polishes/glazes aswell, plus VM and RMG from Clearkote.

I'm in a similar situation given my wetsanding bonanza this summer - I use rmg under ex w/carnauba and nattys. It doesn't hide everything but it does a really nice job overall. I will say I was never impressed with Z5's hiding abilities.

I've liked 3M Swirl Mark Remover for Light/Dark. For dark it worked relatively well. I also use Menzerna Finishing Touch Glaze. Is able to hide a significant amount of micromarring.
