Autopian pets? Let's see 'em!

stiffdogg06- Buddy is a really cool looking dog...that's quite a set of ears on him!

integritydetail- Misty is just so cute! Doesn't look like she enjoys the bath all that much, she looks a lot happier once she knows it's almost over! Heh heh, I enjoyed the C&B-style presentation too :D

Thank you sir. Yeah we don't know what he is mixed with to get those ears. Because Jack Russell's usually have bent ears. I want to say a chihuahua maybe.

My Schipperke. Her name is Bonbon :heelclick

Thank you! I can make a decent funny every now and then, lol:idea

Thanks! We almost lost her to Cushings Disease a couple of years ago, so we try to relish all the extra time we have. She gets grilled chicken, steamed veggies, and brown rice evry day as well as frequent walks, treats and toys. She doesn't mind the bath too much but like you noticed: she goes wild when I dry her off and let her go. As far as the C&B style, is there any other way? :2thumbs: I'm a DETAILER!

Thanks, I was laughing the whole time I was putting it together and posting it.:chuckle:

eyezack87- I'm a fan of the bear-like-puppy pics :D

She looks a lot happier as Santa than she did after the surgery.

Glad this thread got revived...gotta get some pics of our Beaucerons uploaded some time.

Here is Missy, a full blooded German Shepherd, all grown up now. She was born on 01/27/08. I bought her in March. Missy knows how to open a door as long as the door can be pushed open and have a handle instead of the usual round knobs.

Scooter my little Rat Terrier is about 10 years old, I rescued him back in 01. He almost got hit by a car when I found him. He is a good little dog and knows a few tricks.

I also have a Quaker parrot, she is pretty smart, talks, and is friendly only to me, bites anyone else.

Here are my two goofballs. The female (with the blue eye) is Jinx and the male is Murray. We had Jinx for quite a few years when we got Murray......When we brought Murray home it was a little tough, and we thought we'd made a mistake, but it's obvious now that they love each other very much. Murray is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet, and he had lived in a shelter his entire life from Puppyhood up until we got him at about 3-3.5 years old. We've had him for a few years now, and he's spoiled rotten.

It's fun to watch them chase each other. Murray loves being chased. If you throw a ball, you're not getting it back unless you TAKE it back (which isn't easy to do with ole Mur).

stang2676- That's a beefy-looking Italian Grayhound (and I mean that in a good way).

Wayy2SSlow- You showed me pics of Jinx and Murray before, didn't you  They look familiar... Yeah, it looks like they're getting along fine now.

Len_A- Is Sisko as laid-back as he looks?

JonP- Is Missy *all* grown up at this point? Our GSDs kept filling out for a while. Ah, don't see too many rat terriers! How do the dogs get along with the parrot?

soccerjunky- The legs on that first cat are really something in the first pic :D [And insert obligatory compliment on cute kids here..]

Missy is about 75lbs, she eats mostly raw foods and special dog food. She don't eat the typical foods found at the stores. Missy is actually in heat right now, she's driving Scooter crazy. Scooter is afraid of the parrot since it's bitten him a few times, but Missy will try to use the parrot as a chew toy, so the parrot stays in the cage. Missy has chewed a few wild birds in the yard and killed most of them.

JonP- Ah,OK..75 is a good weight for a female GSD IMO. And yeah, we're very careful about what we feed our dogs too and some of our friends do the raw food thing exclusively.

Not surprised by how both dogs are regarding the parrot; there's that brief window where it can make a lasting impression (like on Scooter) and if that doesn't happen, well, then you have what you've got with Missy :D We have the same thing with our cat- one dog is very respectful of her but the other, uhm...isn't.

These are our 2 current foster pups. They are miniature dachsund pups, and both have ambilical (spelling?) hernias. We are fostering them until they get big enough to have the hernias repaired, and will then go back to the shelter to get adopted out.

Geez, I would be a lousy foster pup parent with those two. IOW, I couldn't let 'em go!

Here's Molly. She's my 4th Scottie and about the 12th one in the family over the years

weekendwarrior- Good on you for helping those pups out :xyxthumbs

landcruiser- Seems like people who are into Scotties really like the breed and stick with it.

Congrats on the show win, how do you like the show scene?

Accumlator. You're right. I haven't found any one that's luke warm on Scotties. They're either into them (and Terriers in general) or they're not.

The show scene has its "quirks". However, Molly was shown in order to support my breeder, whom I've known for a long time. She has wonderful dogs and I was more than happy to help her out. She's never not placed in any show she's entered. She has only one 3rd place finish, with the others being BoB, Winner's *****, and BOG. (Hmmm, interesting that the "censor" screens out the acceptable "B" word used to connote a female dog)

For me it's a take it or leave it. I enjoy going to dog shows, but I don't (personally) like having a dog out "on the circuit" so to speak. I probably wouldn't show another dog for that reason. (I showed Lucy, Molly's predecessor). Molly was on "tour" for 2 weeks and I hated it.

Though a fine example of the breed, I'm done showing her. She's got enough attitude already!

landcruiser- Ah, OK, I misinterpreted that pic and thought Molly had won Top B!tch at that show..sorry :o

Yeah, I know what you mean about the show scene :hmph: Accumulatorette has shown our younger dog in breed-specific gatherings to support the breeder and the club (and to get some good temperament testing done by pros from Europe) but we're not interested in getting really involved with the whole thing.

Heh heh, at our previous house our next-door-neighbors had *six* scotties  The Beauceron we had at the time simply *loved* them...the whole pack of 'em would chase him around all day and he'd even let them chew on him, which he'd never let any other dogs even think about.
