Garage music is sort of raw, sometimes punky, sometimes not, but usually recorded in a makeshift studio in a garage.

Garage Inc. is a compilation of covers by metallica, any classic rock fan should have it, it puts a new spin on some of the great classics. (altough the Garage Inc. album is now a classic in itself)
