Any paint product that beads like Aquapel?

Is there any product that has the beading characteristics of Aquapel? I just love how it beads and also how the beads just run off the windshield and would love to get that effect on my paint. I was thinking of Collinite 845, 476S, or Zaino Z2Pro or Z5Pro. Which one would give me the best results do you think? Or is there another product? Hope not too many people think this is a weird request. I searched and had a hard time finding a thread that could answer this for me.

Thanks

I don't think you can beat 845's beading properties.. tiny beads and lots of them. Rain water flies off the car when driving at speed.

I don't have Z2 or Z5, but I do have Z-AIO and Z8 and they bead very well, too.

Go with collinite 915, I dont understand why 476 and 845 get all the credit, 915 is more money but better value per ounce and according to collinite, it is their best wax.

Collinite + meguiars ultimate quick detailer is the best beading I have ever seen (in person) aside from zymol vintage.

ron231, I actually disagree about 915. According to the descriptions, it seems that 915 is their best wax. However, many of those who have asked Collinite reps have reported back otherwise. Collinite reps have replied that 915 will not really provide any significantly better looks or durability... So it's more of a marketing thing than actual quality/performance difference.

But 915 is cheaper per ounce tha 476 if you do the math... So even if it is re-packaged 476 (which I doubt but it may be) its a better value.

Hm.. 915 is the Marque d Elegance or something like that, right? I'm not sure about the 915, but I know that the 885 Collinite Fleetwax is the exact same as the 476S, except repackaged in a larger container.

I had thought that 915 was more expensive per ounce.. My fault :)

Yes, 915 is Marque d Elegance which is according to collinite their idea of a beauty wax, but it lasts longer than you could stand to not put another coat of wax on your car and beads like CRAZY.

For the original poster, I recommend any of the collinite waxes if you want something that makes water fall of the car. Prep is more imortant though, if you wax over crappy paint you won't be happy with the beading, or the looks for that matter.

From what I've heard, I just have to repeat that Collinite customer service has replied in the past, saying that Collinite 915 is no better than the 845 or 476S. If I were you, I'd probably go with the 845 or 476S. THe 476S will provide slightly more durability, 845 will provide slightly better looks. 845 is probably easier to apply, considering it's a liquid. I personally use 476S The difference is small.

ron231, I was checking the prices, and 915's price per ounce is more expensive than 845 or 476S. I'm looking at mactecllc.com

915: 21.50/12 ounce 2.1/ounce

476S: 14.50/9 ounce 1.61/ounce

885 (repackaged 476S): 16.10/12ounce 1.34/ounce

845: 14.25/16 ounces .89/ounce

It's probably not exactly accurate to compare the liquid per ounce and paste wax per ounce, though. The can of paste wax will outlast the bottle of liquid wax.
