Without a doubt, BLACK. Because black looks BAD so easily - and shows defects more than any other color - yet when it is properly detailed, it becomes the best "mirror" of any color.
I would have to agree that red is a close second. But the reason for this is that there are in fact very few colors available from most mfg's that are NOT metallic. Usually black, red and white only. Non-metallic colors don't scatter the light like metallics do - even metallic black - so they tend to show flaws much more readily. If there were cars available today in non-metallic colors that were darker than the red, - like a dark brown, blue or black - they would probably come in between red and black.
