Adam's Mazda 6 Speed

General Info
Spring is in the air! Perfect weather today for detailing 4.5 hours in 50 F, easy, but I’m tired. I'm ready for school to end for this trimester, it has been a killer

Vehicle
Mazda 6 Speed Steel Grey. Car is about 2 months old. Paint seemed to have slight swirls, little marring, but lots of contamination.

Process

Exterior
Wash – Adam’s Wax & Wash. Very awesome suds and lubricity. I measured out 1 oz for once and was happy to see the results. My friend commented the neon look was special!
Clay – Adam’s Clay, this bar is awesome as it pulls nicely, but don’t crumble or leave much residue. I had to go over areas numerously, but it worked out well in the end.
Polish – Adam’s Revive / SO, used this unique combo today. Paint was slick as heck after the polishing. SO is particularly very easy to use for certain scratches / etc. I’m going to be playing with that combo more. Revive is sweet.
Glaze – Adam’s Brilliance, applied this fast as heck and it still came off lightly, except for some regions where I don’t think I buffed enough
Wax – Adam’s Butter Wax, sweet banana wax is awesome to remove
Dressing – VRT on Tires
Interior
Woolite 1:6 and Vacuum. Friend didn’t seem to want anymore.

Result
Paint is deep, glossy, and SWEET to touch. I haven’t had a better feel for the paint in awhile. Paint sparkles. My friend concluded to not drive it once in the rain but garage it. She even said she wanted to cry… Good? :lol Pictures below with my new Pentax S5i. Sorry not enough lighting. I’m happy!

Any tips/suggestions/questions ask away! Hope these pictures came out okay! :D

Hmmm. Definitely need more light. I need to find a better way to resize and post images. That took me wayyy too long!

Great job Woob! I have two questions for ya, firstly how did you like the BSG overall? Secondly where did you apply it to (paint, windows, etc.)?

At the 3.5 hour mark I started rushing it, so Brilliance (BSG I'm guessing) on the flat areas. Made it very wet! I didnt get a chance to try it on the windows :( I like it, but I didn't work it enough. No need for VM in my opinion.

Yeah, I was referring to the Brilliance Spray Glaze (BSG). Nice to know that it works well and is comparable to VM. I am not looking for a replacement to VM but I would like to have another option available. I have a ton of black cars lined up for a break in the weather so I'll order some and do a review on it.

You will be happy that it has a sprayer now. I do droplets and still haven't found the perfect balance. Order Butter Wax! Ahhh!

Good job! The wheels really cleaned up nicely.

What do you think of the car? One of my co-workers is looking at one.

Seems like a nice car, didn't drive it sadly. Wheels had alot of brake dust, but 4Star Gel and A2z on some of the rims helped. You can go Zoom Zoom in it :D

Revive is one of my all time favorite polishes !!

I take it by SO combo you mean scratch out & revive ??

Very nice job , look's great !!!

Nice job Woob. Better lighting (not in your control, I know) would do justice to your
efforts.
BSG is super easy stuff to use and I really like its easy on easy off characteristic.
I did a neighbors car last week with BSG, followed by PB EX and then topped with Nattys and it was deep dripping wet(Dark Red Metallic).
Have you played with BW on dark/red/metallic ?

Wondering if you can pm me...thx

SO Combo = SO/Revive - Opps :D
cgc2, replied to your PM. As for BW on Red, its was very glossy on the VW Beetle I did a few months back. It reacts differently for every paint, as with all products. Wow you used BW then EX? INteresting. I think EX by Butter Wax will be ridiculous.

Thanks all. I think it could be better. I rushed the Glazing / Waxing phase (Prob 1 hour or less!). Never seen myself pack up so fast :lmfao

looks great . The thing i noticed is it made the 6 look more "sporty" I guess? I really have a give or take att. with the model but you made it look fast. nice.

Wow!

Awesome work.

Tell me though, arent the rear wheel wells the biggest PITA? They're made of some kind of material that just grabs and holds every piece of junk. Ughh, hated doing them.

Thanks for the comments all! Hehe as I say its either fast or fast looking :)

gsrstylez, My friend didn't let me get to the wheelwells. Its definitely very weird. More of a carpet kinda texture and the dirt just stays. Maybe degreaser and a brush will get to it? If not I'm just going to flush and forget it. The rims will make it look clean.

I think lighting has to do alot with how it looks. Its definitely the best slickness I've felt. Not waxy, but more pure clean metal feel to the paint. I hope to do some more touches.

More details to come I hope!
