A WHOLE new way to use carnuba...

I left some carnuba with my sis a little while ago so she could put a second layer on her car a day after I was done with it. Well I just talked to her and she found a whole new way to use it! SHe has those fake acrylic nails, yup she did it!:shocked She put some on her fake nails. She says it looks better than the plain metallic polish by itself. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard this early in the morning just trying to picture it. Figured I'd share and give you gusy a good laugh too.

LOLLLL now that is funny.. Good thinking though...I wonder if it really benefits her nails?

No tellin'. I do know that when you get a medicure they use this thing that looks like a dremel with a buffing "pad" and buffing cream though. :nixweiss

You mean a manicure..lol..yes ive seen that plenty of times..Ive got a girlfriend:)

I didn't think that looked right. Can you tell I don't go to beuty places much?:p

The last time I did anything more with my nails than bite/clip them was when I had to do a presentation in front of about 1000 people.

That's creative thinking :up

When I started reading your post - fingernails and car wax - the deepest fears entered my mind - SCRATCHES !!!!!

Glad it ended well.

It really depends on the color of the nail and the eye of the beholder. Many people prefer AIO + sealant on natural and light colors and AIO + carnauba on darker colors (red, goth).

AIO + any carnauba on fingernails is awesome! I thought it was common knowledge?

You'd think if anyone would know that, it would be me!

Are you, a fellow Autopian, saying that you didn't tell your girlfriend to properly prep her nails? :nono

I bet they would feel a lot better if she clayed them first then proceeded to buff/polish (maybe ssr2.5 works on those ridges) before she waxes it.

Maybe if there's enough interest, we can pressure the pad companies to make 1 inch pads for the PC for fingernails. :xyxthumbs
