303 Aerospace under the hood?

Quick question. I recently got some 303 Aerospace Protectant and plan on using this on the interior of my car (dash, trim, etc).

I was curious if there would be any problem with using this under the hood on plastic and rubber pieces. I have a feeling if it wouldn't cause damage to the interior pieces, it should be rather safe under the hood too.

Does anyone have any comments plus or minus on this?

It's my product of choice on under the hood surfaces. The look is perfect and it lasts plenty long. I apply it with sponges and foam paint brushes.

Bill D - Great. I figured it would be safe to use, but I always ask when I am unsure. Thanks for confirming my thoughts :)

It's truly a great product under the hood if you don't mind spending the money. I like the low gloss sheen, dust repellency, and pretty long lasting effects of using it.

Nice thing is it's available by the gallon. I spray it using a pump cooking oil sprayer to further economize.

Bill: Something like this?

I have never seen this used in detailing. Do you use less than say, if you were to apply it via MF app?

Sean, yeah something like that, except clear. Check Wal-Mart's cooking supplies aisle. For further economy spray it on one of those mf applicators or foam brushes. Great for spraying directly on low profile tires also. :up

I love 303 for interior. I also use it under the hood for car shows.

But it's a little pricey for my daily driver under the hood, so I substitute Tire Foam under-hood. Works great and non-gummy, non-sticky.

It works great under the hood. Honestly, every plastic/vinyl protectant I've tried under the hood has worked very well for me. They all last long, because the area rarely gets wet, and doesn't have any contact with UV rays or light.

So far I've tried 1Z Tiefenpfleger, Gummipflege, NXT Tech Protectant, 303, and Wolgang Tire Gel. They all look great on the engine bay.
