Hey all, I just wanted to introduce myself to this forum. I only happened to stumble onto here due to beemerboy mentioned it in another forum. Im glad to have found this place because I just love to detail my car. As for now its just small time but hopefully I'll learn a lot more useful things on this site to help me get all those swirl marks out of my car. I hope I'll get the chance to meet most of you fanatics like me. :rockon

Welcome to DC :howdy
There is plenty of good info and good people (as you already know)

Enjoy your stay

There is a lot of great products on this site....however if you are going to be working by hand, to start..look at the Poorboys World line....very versatile, easy to use in sun or shade...cost will not set you back and very professional results

We are not far from each other drive down and come by my place I have a ton of his stuff and a lot of hands on experience with it

Well thanks for the tip. I will have to look into their products. But most likely I will start with them when I do get the chance to read up on a few tips. But from what I can see the products are amazing. As far as sonoma county goes, its only about 3 hours and I drive by whenever I go to the bay area.

If you in the area and have time to stop send me a PM

In bimmerfest. I saw the link there and decided to follow it. Just recently started detailing so the site sounded just about right for me. Thanks to you I found a great site.

I've made suggestions about this site quite a few times over at bimmerfest...I've tried to help some over there but SOME BMW owners are of the opinion that they have special cars made from special materials / paint....and not just any product is going to work on it...or there are the Zaino followers:D

I gave up some time back when I was in an all out with someone about, clay and how it was going to remove the clear coat

I give very general answers over there now...as some thing that I am talking a foreign language

Glad that you made it over here one of the best site for detail advice that I have been on....and very well run

Yes some people over there are very opinionated about what to use on their cars. Im just here to learn what I can do to make my car shiny. And to help other people do it. Maybe a little side business but still figuring out the magic of the trade. Hoping that you and the fellow members of this site will enrich me with knowledge of detailing. I just purchased a few bottles of poorboys and a bottle of natty's paste. Will have to give those a try and find out where I stand in this detailing world.

You made a great choice with the PB stuff....what did you end up getting?
