Your Best MF Window Towel?

Just One More Coat
I have been fighting with getting a good MFT for glass only...I currently have two different ones from PB both are super good towels, but the life of me I can't get them to stop linting on the window...I talked to Steve and he said it was the Stoners IG...I switched over to using his APC diluted with water...and they still lint...I wash them and air dry and that seems to help.

So I am looking for what everyone is using as a glass towel and why they like it!

Dave, I still looking for that perfect window towel, but after i wash my towels I always let them to air dry. I find it works the best for me (no lint).

I have never had a lint problem with my MF towels.
For glass I use a cheap MF towel it has short nap and a lot of bite.
I don't worry about marring the glass like the paint.

I tried the towels specially for glass and WW but the cheap MF towel is my favorite.

Do you use rainX or something on your glass that is causing the streaking.

I have no linting problems either and Dave i use the same towels you do :notme:
Sounds like something else is amiss:hmmm:

I too have the linting problem with my PB glass towel. I also have a Danase gt and that lints too. I have tried using IG and CG Glass Clean with both towels still linting. Recently I have been using IG and a PB work towel the linting is down but still there.

It is almost painful for me to recommend Walmart, but as was mentioned when you previously were concerned about linting glass towels;
The Mainstays waffle weave kitchen towels at about $2 for a pack of two have worked good for me on windows for quite some time. I don't have any problem with linting with them, they seem to work good with glass cleaners, they are cheap and they have worn well.
If you can stand Walmart, they are worth a try.
Maybe I should see if Target has something similar. :)

I do not see much linting in any of my towels -- even the cheap ones. My vrooms seem to be the worst but then I use them the most on glass and rub hard. I have been trying all sorts of towels to see what works best on glass. I have not made any real conclusions. I would assume a waffle weave style would lint the least due to construction.

If they are linting, maybe they are being washed too harshly? I just machine wash warm/two rinse with woolite. I have not been using vinegar recently. Some of my vrooms towels shriveled (lost their shape) once when washed in hot water. I have paid attention to that Tide commercial showing what 30 washings does to clothes.

I then tumble dry warm with dryer balls. Given how expensive they are, I treat them better than normal clothes !

To clean I use cheap(stiff) kitchen towels. To dry I go with either a ww or micro.:passout:

I have tried many glass towels and have always been left disappointed for one reason or another. I liked PB glass towels but they just were not substantial enough and got wet to fast and then did not soak up the cleaner. I use them for all my sunglasses now though they work fantastic for that.

My current go to and favorite towel now is this one.

The Cobra Waffle Weave Microfiber Glass Towel cleans & buffs glass to crystal clarity with the soft texture of genuine Cobra microfiber.

These in my opinion are the best glass towel on the market. I tried the Megs Waffle weave and even some other ones but for some reason these thing work great and are the perfect size.

Steve..I have washed these towels by them self...I only use them on glass..I have used Stoners IG, straight water and your APC mix..I also let them air dry...and they still lint on the glass, so its not what I am doing..I know that!

Its in the quality of the towel itself..IMO

There is no other place to point;)
