Yellow C5 Corvette

This car was in very good shape to begin with. Interior was just a little dusty and exterior had a few minor swirls in the paint and wax was caked in all the cracks & crevices which wasn't fun getting out. All in all it was a very simple process.

Washed exterior, cleaned wheels, tires & engine compartment

Polished complete exterior with Optimum polish by rotary with white polishing pad

Zaino Z2 pro x2 by hand

Sealed wheels with AIO

Dressed tires with Kar Kraft Super Blue Dressing

That yellow is purrrrdy! Interior looks great too.

Did you do an IPA wipedown for Z2 Pro? Did you ZFX the Zaino?

Terrific work! Yellow can be a tough color to make shine like that. Must be nice doing all those relatively small exotics and sports cars. I've got an Expidition, F-150 and BMW 750Li to do today. I'll be on a ladder about half the day!

I don't recall seeing you use Zaino before. Thoughts on it?

Wow, it sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you. If it makes you feel any better, I am working on an H2 Hummer at the moment!

As for the Zaino, I have only used it a few times since I bought it a couple months back. So far I like it. I was a little skeptical at first, but everyone seems to love it so I decided to give it a shot. I didn't get a ton of it, just bought some Z2 pro and ZFX to give it a shot. I really like the look on light/bright colors like silver, yellow, bright blue and red. It's definitely a nice product, but there are other products that are a lot cheaper. I don't use it very often, but it definitely has its place in my product arsenal for specific cars.

Sean- I did wipe the car down with a water/alcohol mixture before applying the Zaino to remove any oils & residue from polishing. Not sure if I need to or not but I guess it doesn't hurt.

Rick: As per Sal Zaino's reccomendations, it is imperative to wipe the car down with a 50/50 IPA mix to remove any oils from polishing unless you use Z-PC.

Even polishes like OCP and Menzerna have lubricating oils (not fillers) and will remain on the surface after polishing. A quick wipedown is necessary, according to Sal, to make Z2 Pro/Z5 bond correctly.
