Our Vette was honored by receiving the "Best in Show" award for the Corvette category at the 6th annual "Cruisin' for a Cure".

The event was held at the Orange County Fair & Expo Center in Costa Mesa, California, to support the Jonsson Cancer Center's fight against Prostate Cancer. What is the largest one-day car show in the country with over 3,300 cars entered, donates all proceeds from the event to support the Jonsson Center's ongoing battle against Prostate Cancer. This year's event featured an amazing collection of street rods, custome, muscle cars, classic cars, Corvettes, trucks, PT Cruisers, Mustangs and specialty vehicles. Over 3,300 in total. Wow, what a sight!

We're proud that we could be part of such a worthwhile event. Thanks go to Debbie Baker, president of the event, and her whole crew and all the volunteer staff workers that put on such a great event, and for a good cause.

Looks great, congrats! Who did the flame work?

Ghost flames, traditional old-school pearl flames and pinstriping by 'lil Louie -San Bernardino

Body work and custom two-tone Kandy Purple and pearl paint by Mike Face Custom Paint also in San Bernardino

We're gonna be in Claremont CA this Sunday - provided we can get her going. We've been installing new High Performance MSD Coils along with new chromed rocker covers and brackets. Trouble is the MSD coils are a bit bulkier than the old ones and the emission pipes fit a little too tight now. So we're having to machine some spacers to get her back together. Once those are ready to go, we'll hook the pipes back up and fire her up!

The red MSD coils look so cool up against the chromed covers and polished blower. Not to mention we hope they help us pick up a few more ponies as well!

Spacers in (finally) and she fired right up! Claremont here we come.

Next week it's new red tanks and finish off the rest of the hoses with red hose brackets... will it never end? LOL

In my experience, it only ends when you find another project car... then it just starts all over again!

Congrats on the win! :woohoo:
