I have had great results for almost 20 years with Ettore (Italian) brand squeegees.. They come in aluminum or brass, several different lengths, and they also sell refills for the rubber..
These used to be found at H/Depot but since they went to H/D of China, they are gone..
I have found Ettore brand on Amazon easily and order them when I need something through my Amazon Prime account..
Used these products and really long poles to wash all 34 windows on the 2-Story Tudor house I used to have in the Pacific Northwest.. No need of ladders, etc., just 2 long poles, one with the wash media, one with the squeegee, a couple towels to wipe off the rubber and its all good !

Stokdgs - FWIW, The Home Depot by me carries Unger, which I picked up to try and didn`t fall in love with. Lowes does carry the Ettore brand (the brand the pro window cleaner that does all the glass at the shop uses), and I wish I would have made the trip.

A couple of times I drove the Ex-familia from the Pacific Northwest to Hugo, where she had a brother and his family.. He was the Mayor of Hugo for a while back then..
Lots of dang Lakes up there !
Went to the Mall of the Americas - wow - so many people !!
Thanks for the heads-up on H/D of China.. I almost hate to go there for anything now.. It`s going full-on Chinese lower grade crap for everything.. Lucky for us they don`t import lumber from there..
Great to hear that Ettore is at Lowe`s ! I have had the same several size Ettore squeegees for over 15 years and they just keep going.. They use great rubber which is reversible ..
When I do the last go over after removing the water, I just put a small towel over the tool and wipe down anything left and get that outside window channel..
Their glass cleaning soap and polish also have worked great for as many years.. Like that I don`t have to do anything but add water to it in the bucket and go clean glass..

Onehadlite- Since you`ve tried the Unger (with no joy), I`ll be interested to hear if you like the Ettore better.
