Wow, very few pinnacle's I heard so many good things about it im suprised....what are the "Others" people are voting for?

"I like 303 personally. I just wish it had a little more gloss to it but nowt as much as Vinlex"

I agree with you on this. I have thinking of possibly adding a little vinylex to 303 and seeing how that works out. I am thinking of something like a 6:1 ratio. just a touch more gloss. If anyone has tried this let me know and I will be posting my results.

Einszett cockpit premium is a great interior protectant. It produces a nice matte finish, no streaking, and a 'fresh' smell to top it all off (it's not overbearing).

I have been a fan of 303 for a long time as well but I like the look of cockpit premium a little better.

In this thread, David wrote about Cockpit Premium:

Do not use this product as your only interior protectant. It is designed to work with your vinyl and leather protectant as an interior quick detailer.

It does not have a UV protectant. But the Cockpit Classic product does.

The Cockpit Premium protects as much if not more than the others. Any evidence on the opposite?

It's my election product, the surfaces keep their exact new look, no shine added.

David says Cockpit Premium does not have UV protectants, and he's the one evaluating and selling these products. So that's good enough for me. He says use Cockpit Classic for UV protection, then use Cockpit Premium as a "QD" for the interior. According to David, Cockpit Premium is NOT going to provide "protection." DavidB, want to weigh in here and give us the straight scoop?

FUEL: Vinylex is water based. So you want a tad more shine than 303, but less than Vinylex. Dilute Vinylex 50/50 with distilled water. No point in wasting the 303 by mixing it with Vinylex, just use water. I'll trade, send you a bottle of distilled water for a bottle of 303 :)

Lynn, Have you used the Cockpit Classic? Does it smell as nice and work as easy as the Cockpit Premium?

RegalGS: No, I seem to be ordering from Autopia every week. But haven't yet tried the Cockpit twins. They're currently on my wish list. :p

First things, first. This thread does not give any criteria for why you select a product. For me there are three factors:

1. Ease of use

2. Look/results

3. Performance

Right not, I don't think there is a better "protectant" than 303. That will change as soon as Wolfstein introduces his new protectant. Maybe he already has. So, as for performance, 303 gets my vote.

Ease of use and results, I'm really liking the 1Z Cockpit Premium. However, it is not a UV blocker. So, it needs to be used in conjunction with a UV blocker. I use it with 303. My interior gets 303 once every 6-8 weeks and CP once a week.

If you like a shiny finish, 303 is not the right protectant. In this case, Vinylex is a better choice. My only complaint about Vinylex is the smell, which makes me gag.

Someone mentioned 1Z Cockpit Classic, which is a combo cleaner/[rotectant. This is a different kind of animal all together. There are many products in this category, like Meguiar's #40 (nice) and Wurth Cockpit Cleaner.

One Grand also makes a nice product, as does Mothers.

Wolfstein? Who be Wolfstein? And will David-stein be carrying das aforementioned product? :D

My "other" was for Griot's, no one else use it? I've had issues with Pinnacle, worked OK on some cars, but not on the Audis. Never seemed to absorb/fully cure, wiped off when touched, etc. I THINK I remember its doing the same thing on the C5, but I'm not sure. I might even put it on A-Bay, I think I have a half-gallon and maybe another quart, too. Just sitting there...

BTW, DavidB mentioned Wurth's Cockpit Cleaner. It's an aerosol, seemed to go everywhere when I sprayed it.
