What's your favorite METAL POLISH?

I used Mother's Aluminum Polish for years (Red Jar) and always had good success, then I switched to Mother's "Billet" Aluminum Polish, which had more cut and produced even better results.

About 3 years ago, I was talking to a guy who drove Harleys. He told me the best metal polish to use was Simichrome.

I bought some at a Harley dealership and it's my go-to-stuff. Simichrome gives results like this:

My '82 Vette wheels, when I bought the car and after using Simichrome and adding a new center cap and new tires...

What do you like???

A couple years ago I tried the Blue Magic Metal Polish and I didnt care for it. Now I use either Eagle One Never Dull or Meguiars Hot Rims Mag and Aluminum Polish.

Hand's down the Blackfire Metal Polishes are the best I have ever used. I do like the Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish as a lower cost alternative.

Apply P21S Total Auto Wash or P21S Polishing Soap (solid, clay-based polish that applies with its own sponge) to wheel surfaces and let soak in, agitate with a long-handled boar?s haired brush before rinsing

To remove tough stains such as oxidation and acid rain water spots, use a cutting polish (Wenol Original (Red tube) or a fine metal polish (Auto Wenol Blue tube) to remove rain water spotting and produce a bright shine (follow Wenol Original with Auto Wenol) apply products with a 100% DFT cotton micro towel

Magnesium or aluminium wheels can be polished with a water-soluble polish (Happich Semichrome Polish, ECP Showman Polish or Autosol)

Simichrome? I had not heard that name since my brother used it back in the 60's - I had totally forgotten about it and assumed it wasn't available. I'll have to start looking for it!

Otherwise, my favorites are Flitz and in certain applications, Eagle One Nano Polish. Love the PS21 Polishing Soap, too. I earned some household points by using it to clean up some copper bottom cookware! ;)

So many polishes to try...so little time. Boo Hoo

Yeah, Simichrome can be bought at any Harley dealer or Marbeck appliance. They always keep it in stock.
