What Wet/Dry Vac do you guys recommend for detailing??

I have a Rigid, the Home Depot brand, and I must say it does that job extremely well. You can get up to I think 9 HP, mine is so strong it sucks the individual threads out of carpets if you aren't careful. They run about $70-$80. Hope this helps.

I also have a rigid along with the mack daddy craftsman. The rigid is a small maybe 5 gallon? unit that i mostly use for quick wash and vacs. And my craftsman is like a 18 gallon i forgot the exact specs but its good for getting matted beach sand/gravel out on details.

Ridgid makes a 4 gallon, 5 hp unit that quite a few people seem to like. I don't have one, but when I replace my 2 Shop-vacs, it will probably be with one of these.

I have one. It is awesome. It has great suction. It is light and compact, and it is inexpensive. A very good vacuum.

I have the Rigid, 4 gal, 5 hp model. It fits nicely in my trunk and has a ton of power. Blows away my Craftsman tall wall mount thus far.

After reading this thread today I ran down to Home Depot and bought the 4 gal, 5 HP Ridged. You guys are right, it's a very cool machine.

Thx for the info :)
