im still deciding which polisher to get. i want a light light light and durable and low vibration. i was told to get the makita one in the review section. today i tried the dewalt 849 is there anything lighter then that?

and where can i purchase these in a canada vancouver of a website that is based in canada.

Festool a, rupes and Fein I have seen a member use and with unreal results using menzerna

I have a cheap Chicago Electric rotary. It works for what I use it for. It's heavy, but I only use it once in a while, so it's not really a big deal.

It cost me ~$32.00 shipped. :)

I bought the Makita, but I think I would have been just as happy with the Hitachi, or the Metabo. The DeWalt, well, some folks swear by them. If the weight isn't an issue, it might be the best tool overall.... again weight notwithstanding.

The Makita and the Hitachi are only about half a pound heavier than the Metabo, and cost considerably less.

I have a Chicago Electric, and it's an OK tool. But it is definitely crude compared to the other tools named here.

I have a Hitachi and a B&D 6138(Dewalt 849) and while there was/is nothing wrong with the B&D I do love the lighter weight of the Hitachi. I got is from www.utterguys.com when they were putting them up on ebay for $134 shipped.

Makita 9227 all the way, even the old makita polisher(the one i have) works great. Ive used both, but I would definitely upgrade if i had the chance to!!!!!!
