I will do a 80's Toyota "Dolphin" RV. That's what he called it but I have only a vauge idea of what one looks like. I don't think its getting into my garage. Any suggestions for "in the sun" products to use on the "shell"? Don't want to guess and searching RV's isn't getting me too far. I've even thought about Meguiar's boat products but figured I better ask someone who knows what to do.

The owner said it has not been cared for much but the top has been coated. That's all I know about its condition. The paint part is not a problem of course. Hope someone can help out on this.

Also, what's a fair price range for a project like this. Owner said I could have the RV all weekend.

The best advice is to try to determine if you will be dealing with a fiberglass gelcoat or a painted surface. If it's fiberglass then you should go with boat detailing products and for paint you could use your usual car detailing polishes and waxes. A fair price for the Dolphin should be based on how much time and materials you think it will take to complete the job. You should also consider what you think the owner is willing to spend. With jobs like this, don't be surprised to find out that you're able to get much better results than you first thought. And that the owner will be very impressed with your work and be willing to pay a much higher price than normally expected.

Also, I just finished up detailing a 32 foot RV and noticed that the entrance doors were made of aluminum that was painted while the rest of the surfaces were basically fiberglass gelcoat. Different materials, different processes. I will be posting a few pictures and my process in another thread.

Thank you very much for the tips. That's what I needed to know and I see a lot of boat care products on the selves here.:up
