What is the best Detailer type product?

Most of my details are high end and I use Zaino but occasionally I will get people that do not want to pay the extra for a quality product.

I am looking for the best 1 step AIO or cleaner wax type product that I can use for a quick once over with a ROB and have the car look great. What is the most popular/best product for this type of detail?

I have stuff like Adams BW, Revive and SSR and CG AIO and CG ETCS X3 Carnuaba, CG Magic Seal, Glantz and Klasse AIO.

What do you guys reccomend I try?

I tend to put my efforts in polishing correctly and follow that with #26. I tried AIO and really like it EXCEPT the show owner where I detail late model BMW's doesn't like that it dries white. Most of the cars I detail have pitting on the bumper/headlight/front hood and it becomes more work with products that dry white.

Here's an example of a 540i Sport that I just finished.

I've heard a lot of good about Zaino products, but I don't think I could use them in this small "production" environment.

Are you talking about CG AIO? I found it to be very aggressive and did not think it finished off real nice. Worked great on my Stainless Steel sink but left paint milky. Maybe I did not work it fully. How did you use it? ROB/White pad set at 5.5? Maybe I will have to revisit it. :nixweiss

Yes, Zaino is one of the best products I have ever used but its not really suited for a production environment where you are trying to get them in and out as fast as possible. Most people won't appreciate its benefits anyway. I get a lot of request for it on high end details/cars.

I second that, Meguiars #66!!!!

I looked all over for #66 and everytime I saw it I asumed it was a Quick Detailer Spray until I actually read it. It is confusing at a glance. I have not been real big on Meguiars chemicals lately but will have to give it a try. Has it been around for a while or is it new? Does anybody want to trade 12 or 16 ozs for some #26 or #83 so I can try it. If not, no biggie, I see they sell a 12 oz sampler, I can always pick up a bottle with my next order from autodetailingsolutions. :2thumbs:

No, not the CG AIO...the Klasse AIO. It does a super job on paint that is not pitted with small stone chips (as a lot of our cars are). On dark colored BMW's, it shows terribly. While I try to fill most of the obvious chips, there are sometimes hundreds of them. The Klasse leaves a white residue in the chip hole (gee, but I can sure see them easier LOL).

I've used Klasse on the sides, roof, trunk with good results, but it's a step I probably don't need. The shop owner has a couple of gallons of #26 and 1 gallon of Perma-Plate sealant that I haven't tried yet.

If I get a prospective BMW owner that wants me to do the Zaino routine, I'd order the kit.

For a one stepper I would go with meguiars #66. Its a lot of filler, some light polish, and short term protection. For full details go with zaino and just raise the price a little bit.

Well let me explain you easy, just remove all the wax and other protective products form paint. Just the same when you prepare a car surface for paint, contamination are the problem and the key are clean good. Just remeber polish has to seal the paint and when this dry are the problem, wax are down and apears like white spot, just like chemical reaction.

Like polish a recomend you m#66, that's nice and easy to aply and cheap! that's important in profits but if you have a demanding customer well Klass are the best but charge more money!. I play several times with Klass on Roll Royce and Porche also expensive RV's from Tiffin ($750,000 price) and customers are allways more than happy.

Just remember, clean good and do it!

Hey Toto, good job man, very nice surface.

How much you charge for this kind of job in Kansas? They really apreciate your talent?

:hm

From the sounds of this I think I would be better off with KAIO.

Give the Optimum Poli-Seal a try.

You can purchase it in a 32oz bottle if a gallon is too much. I find the orange pads work best for the one step.

well I am going to do a wash, clay, megs 66/orange pad, and megs 21 sealant on my truck tomorrow....i'll let you know how it turns out..
