What Grills do you use?

I'm all about the charcoal in a Webber. I know people who've throw out their gas BBQ' after they had one of my filet mignon' done medium-rare on charcoal. One of the keys is "Montreal Steak Spice", of course!

I cook a whole filet mignon (sliced into thick steaks) every year for my sons birthday party on a Webber, that we lug to a local mountain top park. Back in AZ my dad and I would do T-bones on over coals of mesquite. It took hours to for the wood to burn down to coals that were just right to cook a steak, but that's how I learned to grill meat and it continues to impress.

Cooking is a lot like car detailing...

Weber Genesis with Propane 5-gal tank..
I can rock anything from Omaha Steaks, especially their excellent filet mignon, with ease and there is no smokey, charcoal flavor, just pure, great thick, meat full of juices...
I attribute my love for this and success to the absolute even temperature that is easy to control because of a constant flow of gas..
My cooking temp is always 500 degrees F., and there is nothing better for me..
Way easier clean up, and the grill will last longer because there is no corrosive charcoal down there eating the bottom of the grill, etc., up, over time..

Brinkman or CharBroil not sure wife uses it not me. No one wants me to cook as I cook the way I like my food burnt and dry.

Costco Fillets on the BGE for me! :)

Actually I think my wife enjoys grilling just as much, if not more than me. I like the quick on of gas for things like burgers and brats, but everything else is usually BGE.

That is why I will never produce the quality of work you do. Gas for me is so nice, and quick and easy.

I used a Charcoal grill at the beach over Memorial day and it was fun but I cannot wait for the coals to burn up and out before I cook.

When I drove across the country in the late 80's we BBQd every night in the parking lots of the walmarts where we parked the RV. Who need a grill?? We bought meat and bbq'd on the side of a shopping car and basically lit the bag on fire , tipped a shopping cart on it side and grilled on the side of it. When done we wiped it down and moved on. Great trip.

Its like sitting looking at all the trim on the Jeep with a friggin makeup pad and a bottle of trim sealant and having to paint that stuff on x2 coats. I have zero patients and its only getting worse as I age.

Give me the power of Gas any day.

Well, Napoleon it was. I think this was a little overkill LOL. Napoleon PT725RBI I'm very excited, first thing is filet then homemade pizza. The Sizzle zone is insane, 0-1800 degree's in less then a min!

I have an older weber genesis silver 2 burner. It has to be over 10 years old now. still in great shape.

Webers are great, but the quality of the lower end stuff is going downhill the past few years. the spirit series currently made is iffy quality when it comes to smaller stuff like the frame, wheel and wheel mounts, etc.

Congrats on the new grill. That thing is a beast! Here are mine, I'm a charcoal/wood burning guy but I keep thinking about getting a lp grill for quick cooks plus then I'd have one of each, lp, charcoal and wood.
