Wax As You Dry?

Anyone still use this? Used this the other day and actually liked it!

Just looking for info. Seems like a cheap way to easily boost a 'nuba based LSP!

I just bought Griot's Garage Spray Wax. I will be trying it on the QX56 in a couple weeks. I just did a AIO/SG/S100 treatment, and I want to see how the spray wax works on top of it. It's a spray on, then dry product.

I still have a bottle, I haven't used it since I got rid of my beater...I didn't want to get wax residue in my WW's, but I used to dry my beater with terry.

If it's the Armor All stuff in the red squeeze bottle, it's pretty good stuff, at least when I use it to make spray detailer.

I wonder if Collonite 476 can be applied when the car is still wet. I know you are supposed to use a slightly damp applicator but has anyone tried it when the car was just rinsed from a wash?

Huh? Dampening the applicator pad is a recommendation for many products to keep from wasting product by limiting the absorbtion into the pad. Applying a paste wax to a wet car is not a good idea.

Eagle One Wax-As-U-Dry (WAUD) is a product that is designed to aid in drying by causing the water to sheet off the car and lubricating the drying medium.

if you're referring to the EO1 WAUD, i've used it and didn't care for it and wouldn't buy another bottle (could get AW or Mothers FX spray wax for a few bucks more)...

i actually tried a bottle of TW spray/dry wax a few years ago when i wasn't taking the best care of my DD wax/detail wise. it worked quite well and was very easy to use. liked it better than EO. FWIW.

Hmm, I never had any problems doing it with a dry pad. I guess I learned something again today lol

I use the Malco AquaWax for this purpose works flawless ( and smells like orange creamsicle)

i had a bottle of the MAW, but still prefer the DG AW. much easier to use and liked it better then MAW overall...

I spritz Optimum Car Wax on the paint for the second drying pass when using ONR. Works great, typically I can ONR wash and OCW wax most cars in less than 30 minutes.

Well there is this one time while I wax waxing my car with Collinite 476 half way and it started to rain. I continue to wax my car in the rain. I used the WOWO method. It worked too. It was the fastest way I ever applied hard paste wax on the car. Kinda cool to see the rain water beads after wiping off the waxed area. :)

The 2nd time I used the Collinite 476 was after washing my car. I applied it on the wet car. Using WOWO method too. Kinda like Wax As U Dry.... Works like a charmed too. I did try M16 paste wax this way b4 too. Also no problem. Altho the paint doesn't feels so slick as compare if u apply the Collinite 476 on a dry surface. Hehe. Maybe u can give it a try and see how u think too? But I don't know bout durability coz I waxed my car every Sunday. So I can't say if it does lose some durability from the Wax As U Dry method....? :)

I have a bottle of Meguiar's Quik Wax, It says it can be misted over a wet car. But I'm concerned about one thing - wet car panels have dry areas and "water drop" areas, so when I mist the spray wax onto the water drops how does the wax sticks to the paint? I'm not a detailer, and I'm lazy :), so I was thinking maybe I can kill two birds with one stone, dry and wax in one step.

Btw, what MF should I use when "wax-drying" - WW or a soft one?

P.S. Oh, and I also have almost a full bottle of Meguiar's NXT Tech Spray Wax, can it also be applied when drying?
