Water tank (PICS) ... Finally

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
I have received many PM's about carrying water and pressure washer setup, so I will finally demonstrate my setup.

Please disregard how messy the van is !!! I detailed 8 cars over the past 3 days !!!

Here is the van before dropping the pressure washer.

Fully packed...

Karcher 2500 psi...

I have used this pressure washer since 2001 without any problems. I have her serviced annually and store in climate controlled storage in winter.

45 Gallon water tank.

Purchased from rightlook.com in 2000. Here is the connection to the pressure washer. It is fed by gravity, and the only drawback is lifting the washer from the van.

Remember I am a former pro bodybuilder so its not that much of a problem...:lmfao

Lettering...

The graphics company I used is top shelf, and their price is right !!! If your looking to have your vehicle lettered PM me and I will give you their information.

Rear of van...

Nice setup you have. I been thinking about picking up the Honda eu3000 but I find it hard to part with that much money so easily ( if you know what I mean ) How do you like it and any problems with it ? Does it run your extractor with no problems ? The eu 2000 is nice but I'm leery that it wont be enough power. What made you become a LLC ?

TIA

Jerry

Eu3000

The generator is incredible !!! Quiet, and powerful !!! It runs my Mytee 8007 without a problem, and I had it running the extractor and a compressor at the same time recently ( not recomended).

I was a sole proprieter for the last 3 years, but my business has grown, and I am thinking of putting a second van on the road very soon. My brother and brother-in-law have both expressed interest in getting involved in the business, and I have taught both of them how to detail. I was looking into a fixed location, but the overhead is ridiculous !!!

Limited liability corporation, good idea for small companies, for both legal and tax reasons.

Also, you'll have to check in your area. Some states will allow single members LLCs. Gives all the tax benefits of a sole prop.

Nice van. Do you just detail or do you have weekly washes to? I like to split my day with regulars and maby a detail or some ding repair. I have a 100gal tank in my van. and on a busy day it will run dry.
Do you use any D. I. water or R.o. In california I used D.I. but in texas they want way to much money. Im considering going with an R.O unit in my garage to make my own spot free water. Do you know any one with one of these units?

Thanks Ron

ron,

Sorry it took so long to respond. I do not do any hand washes, I simply do interior/exterior detailing. I looked into using deionized water, and it is not cost effective for me also at this time. I detail only part-time, but some weeks get a little crazy (volume). I try to schedule about 5 full service details a week.
