Various cleaner wax tests

Did anybody compare Mothers Reflection with Gold Class Eagle One Wet Mothers Cleaner Wax and Meguiar Cleaner Wax also Mothers Sealer and Glaze andMeguiars Deep Crystal Polish are these two equal or is one better

mothers cleaner wax is by far the best. My uncle had the meguiars cleaner wax, and it didn't even last 4 weeks(mine lasted 6 weeks on my old cougar). Eagle one is terrible for cleaner wax, barely lasts a month. As for the glazes, the mothers sealer and glaze is a much better buy than the deep crystal polish, its even better than meguiars #7 show car glaze. Btw, if your glazing, youll need a paint cleaner b4 like deep crystal #1 paint cleaner, than follow with the glaze, then wax with something like #26 from meguiars which is about 10 bucks retail.

Between Gold Class Liquid and Meguiars Cleaner Wax Liquid:

-Gold Class gives a better shine afterwards.

-Gold Class lasts longer, but that's not saying much because the cleaner wax seems to be the shortest lasting wax I've ever used.

-Cleaner wax is easier to buff out, gold class has streaking problems that require a lot of buffing. Maybe it's got more oils in it or something.

The rest of the waxes I haven't had enough experience with yet to comment.

I tested Mothers Cleaner Wax against ClearKote Moose Wax, IMO the Mothers product was better. Goes on and off easy, has good depth, and isn't harsh for a cleaner wax.

Mothers cleaner wax is quite good.

:up

Got to agree Mothers liquid cleaner wax gives a better shine on a black or red car than any product I have ever tried.

Top it with the Carnuba in the red tin for added durability.

It seems weird that the cleaner wax gives a better shine than even the sealer glaze but in my opinion it does.

yeah, cleaner waxes work, but prepping surfaces with claying first then using a paint cleanser, then topping off with a wax like #26 or s100, youll get a better shine and longer durablitity. Remember, 90% of all detailing is prep, 10% product.

True, but some people don't want to go to the trouble of using two seperate products, hence Pert Shampoo and Conditioner. :p

Maybe nobody cares, but there are two other cleaner/wax type products that do have decent cleaning and polishing ability, have excellent durability (especially compared to most off-the-shelf cleaner/waxes), and can be quite Autopian. They are perfect for the person who doesn't mind spending a little more, or possibly having to order a product in order to get more durability and shine, but still wants something that is quick and easy. I speak of Klasse AIO and Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Protection. I have used both of them a reasonable amount, and both are quite easy to use and leave a great shine. AIO has more cleaning power (MPPP is a fairly light cleaner), while MPPP leaves bit more depth (though still not overly deep). And I find them to be pretty similar in terms of durability. Both are pretty tough stuff, especially when you consider they are an all-in-one type product. I would say that if you read Autopia but you want a simple all-in-one type product, you really should consider one of these. Go with AIO if your paint needs a little more help, or you want a little more cleaning power when you apply it. Go with MPPP if your paint is already in pretty good shape (or it is bad enough that you are going to try to fix it first and then start using an all-in-one product to keep it up) and you just want to keep it that way and would prefer a bit more pleasing of a shine.

I just wanted opinions on medium price wax that could be bought anyplace . I know that AIO and Medallion are very good I would like to try AIO myself . This would mainly be used on friends or family members cars that realy dont care what is used on their cars . I myself use S100 on my car

I have used several products and I would rank them as follows:

1. Klasse AIO

2. Mother Reflections

3. Zymol Cleaner Wax (2 and 3 about equal)

4. Meguiars.

Climate I live in is fairly high humidity and temperature.

You guys are forgetting #20. Very easy to use. Readily available, and has good durable. Shine is ok, but water beading action, especially when fresh, is awesome. It beads way better than Klasse or Platinum, but does not last as long.
