Turtle Wax HS Graphene & Acrylic tire shine / One Month

Darth Camaro 12/27/15
I first used the new TWHS Graphene & Acrylic tire shine about a month ago. Since then, the car has been driven about 2,000 miles through a couple of rains, some of them heavy. I just finished washing the car and instead of using a wheel & tire cleaner, I used Megs Hyper-wash and a microfiber cloth to "scrub" the tires and Hyper-wash and a soft brush for the rims.

After drying the car, I wiped down the tires with a clean dry microfiber and I have to say I was impressed. There was no "shine" to the tire, it was simply clean and black, kind of a matte black and even around the tire.

I`m posting a pic of 24 hours after application and wipe down, before the car was driven anywhere and a pic I took tonight after washing & drying the tires with just car wash soap. I liked the results, but I`m posting the side by sides to let you form your own opinion.

PS This is the same tire, the right rear

Nice it a hard product to figure out weather it’s a dressing or an actual water based acrylic tire coating. When you put it on did it dry? And how long? Thx

I made the mistake of spraying it directly onto the tire - you use WAY too much that way and I had to wipe it twice before it would dry, but it DID dry. It was never greasy and it did not attract dirt. The towel I used to wash the tire is a bright yellow and even after going around the tire a few times washing it, the towel picked up very little dirt. I let it set for 5 - 10 minutes before wiping the excess off, but like I said, I used way to much and made more work than was needed.

I really like this product. In my experience, it`s somewhere between a coating and a dressing. What I like most about it....no sling....zero...if applied correctly to a thoroughly clean tire. I`ve only ever used one coat...not a fan of super shiny tires.

Even after a month of no care, it only "faded" to a nice, even matte black around the whole tire. A look I prefer over wet & oily.

initial impressions are that it is easy to apply with a foam applicator and the look is nice. I have a feeling that it would work best on a fresh set of tires.

I agree!
