Tire shine products

Hello everyone! I am new to this site. I have been browsing around the forums for a couple days now, and it looks like there is some really good info out here, so I decided to sign up. But anyways, I was wondering...

Can anyone give me some pointers on what the best products are to use that give tires a nice long lasting shine that won't leave spin-off all over the side of the car??? I have tried numerous products that shine well, but it doesn't last long and all of them left spin-off all over my car, even after I let the product sit for hours on the tires (like the instructions said), to avoid spin-off. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated...Thanks.

For really shiny, go with a gel and make sure you wipe off any excess to reduce sling...y rec for that would be Eiman Fabrik Tire Gel

For water based that gives a really good shine I would go with PB BnB. Works great and little to no sling.

I like Mequiar's Endurance Gel. Let it set up for a half hour and no sling. Last forever but be sure and wash it up as well

A lot of folks apply way too much product to their tires trying to get that super wet look only ending up with slinging most of it off on to the sides of the car....

I use a gel and buff off any excess after the product has been on the tires a few minutes...

After they have been buffed, there isn't anything left to sling off........Good luck....:xyxthumbs

I have never seen or heard of this product. Besides the internet, where might I find PB BnB???

I have tried several products and have settled on Zaino's tire dressing. It smells like bubble gum and is water-based so it doesn't sling off. I absolutley LOVE the way it makes the tires look. Literlly a few drops per tire is all it takes.

I agree! One application for a nice matte look or two for more gloss. I apply it with a tire swipe.

I'm happy with the Extreme Tire Shine so far. I like it better than the Meguiar's gel one I believe. It also comes with a nice applicator with a slit down the middle.

To prevent any sling from the tire you'll have to wipe it down either way liquid or gel type.

Is Zaino available at the local auto parts store or Pep boys??? And what exactly is a tire swipe???

Wolfgang and Sonus are my favourite gel's. Once they are dry, they won't sling but if your in a hurry, give em a buff to remove excess.

Sonus is very dark and rich and petroleum free which I like most of all and with a coat or two of carlack 68 plastic care underneath 2 coats of either brand gel, they won't ever turn brown and will last from weeks to months depending on weather conditions

Carlack deep cleans the tire and leaves a base coat that is satin and dry to the touch.

I've been using 4 Star Bazooka spray. I cut a round piece of cardboard to cover my wheel, then I spray the tire. It's makes for a quick and easy way to apply the shine and it doesn't need to be wiped down.

for some reason the meguiars hot tire shine in aerosol type can with ajustable nozzle(l-m-w) has worked very well for me! it gives it that uber shiny-yet non greasy looking wet look and its has lasted 2 weeks with sporadic rainy days!plus its so freakin easy to use, no mess nada. just my .2 cents

I haven't used Zaino personally, but I do believe their products are only sold on their website.

Since you're new, you'll want to look at the Autopia Acronyms post. Lots of acronyms here. Welcome to our addiction!

Oh yeah, I use More Shine Less Time, so I don't know anything about durable tire dressings!
