Thoughts on Dr. ColorChip Paint Chip repair kit

I've used it many times and highly recommend it!
It has its place and for what it does it's perfect.

It's not for every kinda chip and scratch in the world!!!

Do you have pics of what you're trying to correct?

I got the large kit but haven't had the kind of success you see in the videos with it. Maybe I'm expecting too much I dunno. I tried it on my bumper for road rash but ended up taking it all off.

Each time I have purchased a small kit.
I have probably done 12-15 vehicles.
(OK...not with the same small kit!)
I purchase small kits and have lots left.

There is a technique to the application.
I don't know what they recommend.
I just know what has worked for me.

I've successfully used Dr. Colorchip to fill in more than a dozen small chips on the hood of a '99 C230. I've also used it to cover small areas of bubbled paint after I removed the paint/rust. IMO, proper surface prep is very important - I cleaned out all chips with a fiberglass sanding pen prior to applying Dr. Colorchip.

Nothing beats getting a new paint job, but if you're goal is to visually correct minor chips, the product works well.

I have used their road rash kit and it worked great for what it was. While it did not completely fill the rock chips, it did reduce how noticeable they were. For how cheap it is compared to a proper fix, you cant go wrong.

My dad tried it and didn't think that the addition $ was worth the difference compared to using regular touch up paint from the dealer.

My experience exactly. Used it for the first time last weekend.
