The CG Butter Wet Wax WET Test

Well I wanted to add another coat of wax to my wife's Murano and didn't have too much time to work with so I decided to try out the CG Butter Wet Wax on a wet car as Chemical Guys advertises. So after washing and rinsing well I grabbed a MF applicator pad, the Butter Wet Wax and I got to work. I started with the roof using 2 lines of wax on the pad and worked the product back and forth in straight lines. Immediately I realized I used too much product and once it is laid on heavy it doesn't thin out very well. It does grab on to the paint very well so from then on I used very little product and maybe used a total of 5 lines on the applicator pad, 2 at the start and 3 single lines were used to do the rest of the vehicle. Removal was very difficult on the roof where I had used too much but the rest of the car was fairly easy too remove using the short nap side of a MF towel. I went over the car afterwards with some QD and the shine looked very good. Overall if you are short on time and want more shine then a QD wipe down after a wash this is a pretty darn good option. Now lets just see how long it lasts.

And remember.............

Looks nice.

Overapplication is probably the most common mistake and why many people associated with hard work (buff it off).

I had never seen the South Park based meme but sounds right.
