Steam cleaning

Custom Care

I was at my local HD today and came across this Eurosteam ES1900 steam cleaner for $250, they were closing their rental machines. I figured even though it wasn't made specifically for automotive use I could try the squeegee out on the glass and use the different attachments for cleaning engine compartments, door jambs, and random stuff in the interior.

I tested it out on my car windows even though it was raining on and off. It did a great job on the outside, but the design of the squeegee didn't work too well on the inside which I was really hoping it would. Does anyone else use anything like this and have any tips or tricks for use. I'd also like to hear what all people use steam to clean. I was reading something about steam cleaning carpets spots and I never would have really thought to do that.

Our steamer is very similar, smaller but controls look identical.
The triangle adapter that holds a cloth, if you wrap it right is great for just about everything. Headliners, seats, carpets, floormats.

Ive got 2 other adapters that are awesome for rims and what not, like a stick and the end nozle has 1 or 3 holes that is great for the nastier things (suspensions, engines, etc)

I only use distilled water in it and ever so often add a bit of CLR to keep it fresh.

And mine was right at a grand, so 250 for that is a steal! Great find!

I believe it has all of the attachments you mentioned inside the blue tub. I was going to ask about distilled water and an additive as well. Do you just leave the water in the tank or do you drain it after every use?

Looks like a good machine, how hot does the water get? How much water lift?

You can use your vacuum attachments if they fit. Vacuum attachments are like pennies compared to paying for an extractor attachment. I use my crevice tool all the time on my extractor, and it does just as good of a job. The only difference is I don't have an attached sprayer, but you can make that up in different ways.
